Camping de Borgünd

The owner was nice, but the campsite was very noisy because of trucks and cars on the road. Showers cost money, so I didn't use them. One shower and two toilets (for men) are available for the entire campsite. There is one place to wash dishes and one for clothes, plus an additional washing machine. No disposal for chemical toilets. Restaurant not tested. Fine for one night and visiting the church.

Convenient for borgund stave church (unmissable) Quiet at night, plenty of space and all the facilities except black water dump. But there’s a large area at Laerdal where vans can empty black and grey water. The site owner is planning to provide meals in the near future. Take the ‘historic road’ if you can. It’s beautiful and despite being quite narrow we managed it with our 7.39m motor home.

The site is immediately next to the E16, so it is correspondingly noisy. Quite expensive for the facilities. Washing machine, shower, etc. cost extra. Far too few showers and toilets. Sanitary facilities are very outdated, semi-clean and full of spiders. They are also cold because the windows are left open day and night. No water disposal possible. Lots of mosquitoes. No recommendation :( Only use in an emergency....

This campsite is connected on the map with the one next door. It is a basic campsite and was completely sufficient for us since we stayed for one night. The sanitary facilities are a little dated, but everything works and it is clean. Good value for money.

Basic campsite, pitches on grass or gravel. Camper pitch NOK 205, electricity NOK 65, good and free Wi-Fi. Shower NOK 20 (5 minutes). The shower is fairly new; there are also two toilets and two sinks (separate ladies’ and men’s facilities). NO possibility of disposing of chemical toilets or grey water. Quite a lot of noise from the E16, which runs right alongside. Walking distance to Borgund Stave Church (very beautiful).
