23 Rue du Camp d'Attila, 51600, La Cheppe
Been here?
Free small parking area in nature beside the highway, offering quiet overnight stays. Free services include grey water dumping and water refill, though the water system has been intermittently non-functional. Toilets are basic and somewhat aged. The site is close to a nature reserve with creek walks and hiking trails to Attila. Good for transit stops to Paris.

Very beautiful area in the middle of nature. Thank you to the municipality for providing this parking area.Translating
Thank you to the municipality. Very quiet place.Translating
No water... not worth staying.Translating
We slept very well here. The night was absolutely quiet and undisturbed. The parking area on the grass is not immediately obvious. From there you can walk directly in the small nature reserve beside the stream. The toilet is somewhat dated and could be cleaner, but at least it is available.Translating
A good, peaceful night. The gray-water and water-filling services work. Thank you.Translating
We spent the night from July 7 to 8. Around 12:30 a.m., a vehicle arrived without making any noise and then sped away, throwing stones at the motorhome. I was awake and had to disturb them. In the morning, the tracks left by the vehicle were less than 50 cm from the water and fuel tanks. I have visited this site several times before without any problems. Something to watch out for.Translating
We took a small break here, nice location, close to the highway, but still very quiet. We didn’t sleep the night but would recommend!
Lovely location. Beautiful hikes and peaceful.Translating
Perfect for dumping waste, but there is no water to rinse the cassette. Very quiet.Translating
Very good area in nature, and a very good historical discovery.Translating
Beautifully located small, level area. Toilets so-so. Water station not working. Good for an overnight stay as it is not too far from the highway. Thanks anyway to the municipality for the free spot.Translating
Great stopover on the road to Paris, where you can sleep peacefully and dump black and gray water, all free of charge.Translating
Very pleasant place for walking. Very warm welcome from the locals. No shop or bakery in the municipality. Electricity is free, but note that there is only one hookup! Water: €2 per 100 liters.Translating
Beautiful place, with an old Celtic rampart that you can walk along. But there are some drawbacks: 1. Very noisy, as a high-speed railway runs nearby; 2. Water costs €2, whereas in many places it costs €1; 3. The only interesting feature is the rampart; beyond that there are just fields. 4. There is a toilet, but it is dirty and smells terrible.Translating
The area is very good except that some motorhome owners park across the spaces, leaving no room for those arriving. I had to park on the drainage area. Please be considerate, park properly in the designated spaces and think of others. Thank you.Translating
Very quiet. Close to the main road. The toilet could have been cleaner, but it was functional.Translating
Max 3 spaces. All taken by locals in their normal cars when we arrived.
nice little place to stop over thanks to the council for making this available for motorhomes. and the caravan is still here...
Very nice area. Unfortunately for us, a caravan and another vehicle were parked across it, so there was no room. We had to park farther away in an undesignated area. I hope we didn’t cause any inconvenience. Thank you for this beautiful area and service.Translating
Peaceful location with some nice walks in the immediate area. please note there is one power outlet available. Comfortable for one night thanks to the community. Please be considerate of other travellers and reverse in rather than taking up multiple parks length ways.
Thank you very much to the municipality for this peaceful spot in pleasant surroundings, with electricity for only €2 and gray-water disposal.Translating
The place looks very quiet. We only came for the services. The water was working at the end of November. You have to pay to activate the water on the black-water disposal side.Translating
Great place, thanks to the municipality and residents. Why not add a small list of local businesses to help visitors with shopping, fuel, bars and restaurants? Super quiet and well maintained.Translating
Really nice because it is peaceful. Thanks to the municipality for making this place available. We will return.Translating
Great spot, quiet and spacious. Country air, electricity or water for two euros, and a toilet. What more could you want? Many thanks to the municipality.
We arrived relatively late in the evening and had a very quiet and pleasant night. Before continuing our journey, we were able to take a nice walk with our dog and dispose of gray water and toilet waste. Everything works perfectly. Thanks to the municipality.
The place is a dream!!!! Absolutely peaceful, well maintained and safe. Many heartfelt thanks to the municipality for this wonderful offer‼️
A perfect place for one night. The pitches are on a very slight slope, which is not a problem at all. Quiet and free, making it even more appealing as such places are becoming increasingly rare. A service station and glass recycling bins are available. Many thanks for this place.
Great park-up. All facilities working. Toilets. Lots of bins. Lovely walks. One star deducted because of noise from the nearby railway line and roads. A bread van and a man selling vegetables visited in the morning.
Very beautiful, clean and peaceful area in a lovely setting. Water costs €2 and works. 4G is fine, TNT reception not very good. Hiking in the Celtic camp. Thank you to the municipality.
Thank you to the municipality for making available a place full of history and very well maintained. Walk around the site, about 2 km. Toilets, bins, and gray- and black-water disposal; well worth €2. TNT reception not great. Peace guaranteed.
Thank you to the municipality for this facility. Nature trail along the stream and Attila’s Camp very close by. Quiet and clean area. Eight vehicles were present, distributed across the area, the parking lot opposite and the edges of the service area.
Second time we have stopped here; we did not use the services. At night it filled up and the parking lot opposite was occupied. People should think a little more about others, especially in access areas, and use the space efficiently.
