Unnamed Road, 38029, Passo del Tonale
Been here?
Peaceful mountain picnic area with a table, views of Tonale and hiking trails nearby. It has no services, but recent stays found space for several motorhomes, quiet nights and a generally good gravel access track. Daytime traffic comes from hikers, and many mosquitoes have been reported.

We spent two peaceful nights with the motorhome. Great for enjoying hiking trails. There is a table for having something to eat in the parking area. No services. 5G coverage.
Beautiful, quiet place (late April).
Really great! Just a stone’s throw from the station. The parking area is intended for hikers, so there is naturally some passing traffic, but at this time of year it was not bothersome at all! Sunshine until quite late—thank goodness, because it’s freezing!
Great place, clean, level and with a beautiful view.
Very quiet parking area in the middle of nature, silent at night.
Great place, room for several motorhomes, quiet and with a magnificent view! We spent two nights here, one on the way there and one on the way back, but beware: there are an enormous number of mosquitoes.
Very nice and quiet, with room for several vans. The access road is gravel but in good condition, easy to access for cars and vans. A few cars during the day because it is the start of hiking routes. Please preserve it!
Traffic noise could be heard. The view made up for it. We spent the night safely here with two other campers. Beware: there are many dog-poop landmines.
Nice spot, beautiful view and quiet. You can only hear the road a little. The route there is along an unpaved path, but it is manageable.
After three years, the hairpin road has indeed deteriorated considerably, but it is still manageable; only 100 meters are in poor condition. Done with an L3H2 panel van. The place is still beautiful.
Large parking area suitable for spending one night. The road to get there is rocky and has potholes. Beautiful panorama. Many trails start here.
Good flat and spacious spot. Many other campers and hikers come to park here, but respectfully. Note that there is only one picnic table. The access road is rocky but passable.
The approach can be difficult in a motorhome, but once you arrive the setting is sublime, with a magnificent view of the mountains! Quiet place, ideal for spending the night.
Beautiful view, very spacious and quiet place. Only one picnic table; there is nothing else, but that is enough. A few too many flies.
Very beautiful area, but the access road has been badly damaged by rain and there are deep potholes. Take care; ideal for high-clearance vehicles and off-roaders.
Sppent 1 night here on our own. Lots of hikers passing during the day but from 7pm onwards noone. Full 4g coverage. Access road a bit bumpy but ok. Beautiful views of the surrounding hills.
