Rue du Maréchal Alphonse Juin, 02000, Laon
Been here?
Free parking for 6 camper sites near Laon's historic centre, with views towards the cathedral and a peaceful setting. The area slopes, and recent reports say no part is flat, although levelling is easy. There are no services, and a large overhanging tree contains processionary caterpillars.

A slight slope, otherwise a great place. But there is a large tree over the parking area with processionary caterpillars in it.
The place is great. We did not stay overnight because of the slope. The village is BEAUTIFUL.
No part is flat! but easy to level. Perfect, quiet spot to enjoy this fascinating city. Peaceful 2 nights with very few other CCs. Services available elsewhere.
Level pitch, beside a very busy road late in the evening and early in the morning. Good as a stopgap because it is free and close to the city centre. Too many cars parked in the spaces reserved for motorhomes.
Beautiful view of the cathedral and close to the viewpoint at Batterie Morlot, as well as walks and paths along the ramparts.
A beautiful road leading to this place, especially in the evening with the illuminated cathedral. Nice parking area for motorhomes. Morning noise is normal when staying in a city.
Relatively quiet night in a residential location (blocks of flats). Clean bins and picnic tables on a grassed area. Security dogs on a nearby renovation site barked but settled at night so not really an issue. Morning traffic passed by but not heavy. A nice walk into town or catch the Nos 4 bus which passes regularly during the day. Would definitely come back
The camper parking is just a little further along the road than the GPS Co ordinates. 7 dedicated camper space, only one is flat, the other 6 fibre for day parking but too slopey for the night. All free and nice walk to the mediaeval town. Cathedral is superb
Great place on the edge of a quiet residential area, overlooking the old town. It is logical that cars leave around 7 o'clock, and we slept wonderfully. About 5 minutes by bicycle to the centre. There are picnic benches and an information board about Laon at the site, and a rubbish container a short distance away.
