Small parking, security concerns

Oh dear, what a place! Everything is crooked and uneven, and the trees are in the way everywhere. The municipality may have meant well, but unfortunately it was poorly designed and completely neglected. We drove on because even with leveling blocks it was impossible to compensate. Two stars only because of the location. By the way, 60 spaces is nonsense and only means cars. Maximum 10 spaces for campers.✦Translating

We stayed one night and felt safe. Quiet location near public swim hall (with clean toilet). However the parking spots are very inclined. Might be difficult to access with bigger vehicles. Did not use facilities.

We did not experience this aire in the best of weather. It was very foggy and rainy and the trees that probably give nice shade in the summer dropped onto our roof all night - rather noisy. The spaces are mostly at a bit of an angle and probably levellers would be best on most of the pitches. Quite close to shops. Little traffic passing after 9. There seemed to be some long stay people there.

Parking lot is indeed on a significant slope. It's not a designated camper parking, but a big parking with a service spot at the end. There is another parking next to the swimming pool. It is more level but gets completely full in the evening, when locals are going to the pool after work. Besides that - had couple very quiet and pleasant nights with no issues. Hiking routes are very nice

I have not yet been able to find out what others think is great about this motorhome stopover. Even the disposal area is not easy to access. The only positive is that it is directly next to a swimming pool and the supermarket is a five-minute walk away. For motorhome travelers, the rest is a complete disaster.✦Translating

I agree with some previous comments regarding the spaces being small even for 6-metre vehicles. Some are also uneven, and the tree branches are too low.

Free shower and free pool access.

We were travelling with a rooftop tent and did not feel particularly safe, as there were some shady people who had set up camp. The swimming pool and tennis hall were also closed. We drove on, but for brave people and motorhomes I think it is no problem.

Pleasant site near the town centre, with shade and free fresh, grey and black water services. No electricity. It is difficult to manoeuvre vehicles of 6 metres or more when entering or leaving. Thanks to the municipality of Santiago do Cacém for creating and maintaining this space.

Fantastic free shaded area, with grey and black water disposal and filling, close to the town centre, and with free showers and toilets at the two free outdoor summer pools and various covered sports courts such as badminton and volleyball. We had a pleasant night. With our 7.40-metre vehicle, it was no problem for an experienced driver. Everything is a little dated but functional. Toilets are in Rio da Figura Park. We collected quite a lot of rubbish. Please keep the place clean; thanks to the town.

Yes, a suitable and quiet parking area with everything needed nearby, free for spending a few self-sufficient nights—the only one in the area. Be careful: there are ten spaces, but four motorhomes have already been there for a long time, at least four to five months. Each space is 10 metres long, suitable for a good-sized motorhome. Lovely spot.

Great motorhome site in the middle of town, right next to the indoor pool. Public toilets, an outdoor pool and barbecue area are right next door. In April, the outdoor pool was closed, but the outdoor showers were already on, although cold. The walk around the town, to the windmill and the Roman ruins, is recommended. Nine kilometres and partly muddy after rain.
