Very nice place to stay overnight, idyllically located on Ahvenlampi (Aurora Place). Half the parking area is currently being used to store construction materials. On a weekday this was not a problem, as the work was taking place some distance away. A small supermarket and good restaurant are nearby in Luostotunturi.✦Translating

Nice place but for us it felt too close to the village so we drove on. Lots of locals walking their dogs. Lot of reindeer around.

8.5 m. In 1/10/2024, out 2/10/2024. Free, paved and illuminated parking near the small lake of Ahvenlampi. Located beside the road. Vehicle noise can be heard, but traffic is almost nonexistent at night. Pleasant walk around the lake. Peaceful night.

It is a car parking area. A road runs along one side, while the other has trees and the river below. Lots of mosquitoes. Constant turnover. In the morning there was noise from people working with machinery. No rubbish container or bin.✦Translating

The best parking spot we have had so far. We stayed for two nights, with a great barbecue hut right around the corner, and every evening the reindeer herd came to visit. Dreamlike!✦Translating

Very nice place (but next to the road). Saw there squirrel in the morning:)) trail next to the lake was well lit, you should walk to the right on trail to find the toilet.

Although the parking area itself is directly beside the road, the park behind it with its barbecue hut is incredibly beautiful. You can spend a wonderfully peaceful evening by the fire with a view of the lake. In the morning we walked around the lake. Highly recommended for one night after hiking in the national park.✦Translating

Perfect overnight spot with a barbecue hut and toilet nearby. Be sure to climb the 670 steps and enjoy the view! It is worth it.✦Translating
