Been here?
Municipal campsite in Rieux on the Vilaine river, now managed by the commune since April 2026. Very clean, well-maintained facilities; large flat pitches with shade provided by hedges. Near marina, boat launch, and castle ruins with walking trail; snack bar and restaurant adjacent. Accepts ACSI card. Staff are friendly and helpful; excellent value for money.

Campsite also serving as the harbor master's office for the adjacent small river port. A snack bar is next door at lunchtime and in the evening. Very flat pitches. Spotless facilities. Since our place was not shaded enough during the heatwave, the manager went around the pitches with me to find another one. Very friendly... Note that the town is currently undergoing construction with detours. Shops include a butcher-caterer...
We come from Portugal and fell in love with the Rieux campsite. Charming and welcoming staff, always ready to help. Very clean facilities, spacious shaded pitches, so we are going to extend our stay. Guy
A little paradise of a campsite. With an angel at reception, Vincent. The only regret is having to leave.
The campsite was taken over by the municipality. It has been managed by a municipal employee since April 2026. Friendly, helpful, and highly motivated, he provides a top-notch welcome. Very pleasant campsite, very well-maintained facilities, hedges separating the pitches. The prices are still quite reasonable. ACSI card accepted. Truly a beautiful campsite!!!
Excellent campsite, pleasant, clean facilities, large shaded pitches, and a great welcome. We will definitely come back. I recommend this place!!!
Perfect, very quiet, and the facilities and showers are very clean. The pitches are very large. It is a true haven of peace. For the price and services, it is much better than Camping-Car Park. I highly recommend it.
A wonderfully beautiful, peaceful campsite. A walk along the river and a restaurant on site—what more could you want?
We stayed at the campsite completely by chance, and honestly, we do not regret it. The pitch was well defined and peaceful. Vincent at reception is very pleasant and explained the places worth visiting. The facilities are very clean, nothing to complain about. One thing is certain: we will come back with our bikes.
The campsite, which has just reopened, still offers the same incomparable setting at the port and on the Vilaine. For a peaceful stay with access to the water, or simply for emptying and filling, it has been an essential place since the closure of the Redon motorhome area.
Very well-maintained, clean, and accessible facilities. My third stay and I am still happy. A calm and bucolic place. There is a restaurant next door, but it is closing permanently in December. What a shame—we always ate well there. I hope the site is taken over; it has a great view of the Vilaine.
Our best campsite, run by Isabelle and David, very clean and well maintained. They are very kind and helpful. Peacefully located beside the Vilaine. I highly recommend it.
Good spot for an overnight stop and the manager was lovely. Not a lot to do around the area. Mixed showers, but not toilets. Facilities need maintenance.
Pleasant, quiet campsite with a small port next door, on the banks of the Vilaine. Few electrical hookups, so bring plenty of cable; the pitches are large and the facilities are clean. The manager welcomed us warmly. €19 for one night in a van for two people is reasonable. However, access via the road along the Vilaine is horrible: 17 km with a recommended speed of 30 km/h.
A family campsite just the way we like them. Great welcome. Shaded pitches. Clean facilities. It is a shame that the road along the Vilaine is in poor condition.
Our 3rd visit in 6 months; obviously we love it. Not run by the town but a lovely couple have purchased it & made many improvements. Toilets/showers are great, pitches are not “formal”, many have a view of the beautiful Villaine river and some shade. Great “working-men’s” set lunch in the village bar & a couple of shops. Very quiet & calm site with great walks for dogs & humans. We’ll be back..
A very pleasant and peaceful campsite on the banks of the Vilaine. You can feel a sense of serenity. Warm and friendly welcome at reception. Beautiful walks around the campsite and along the Vilaine. The best part: dogs stay free. Our first visit. Thank you. I recommend it, as well as the restaurant on the canal.
Excellent campsite, beautiful pitches, clean facilities with very hot water. We paid €12.40 for one camper and two people; dogs are free. You can stay until 4 p.m. The lady at reception is extremely kind.
A small, peaceful, human-scale campsite very close to the Vilaine River. The attractive price—€17, or €15 with an ACSI card—is an additional advantage. The village is 500 m away. Our dog Romeo enjoyed the walks along the Vilaine. The owner's friendly welcome deserves a special mention.
Very pleasant and peaceful campsite on the banks of the Vilaine. You can feel a sense of serenity. Warm and friendly welcome. Beautiful walks around the campsite and along the riverbank for you and your four-legged companions. Dogs are free, which you do not see everywhere. So thank you, for them and for us. I recommend it.
Pleasant little campsite, inexpensive with an ACSI card. Facilities not very well maintained in April. All services are available, but filling up and emptying gray water is very inconvenient.
Very good campsite, with a warm welcome from the manager. Near the river, peaceful, with spacious, well-defined pitches. Immaculate facilities. ACSI card accepted. Restaurant right next door.
Very good spot, friendly and helpful managers. Very good value for money.
Superb view of the Vilaine. Very reasonable price. Very friendly staff.
Great peaceful campsite. We paid €17 including electricity for two people with a motorhome; highly recommended. Very friendly people. View of the Vilaine. Thank you very much, because finding electricity in this area is difficult, and I hope you remain open all winter.
Wonderful little campsite, very well maintained, with a magnificent view of the Vilaine and, on top of that, very quiet. The manager is very kind, as is her large dog Romy.
Back again! We stopped here in May and had a lovely time, various sizes of pitch most with electric hookup, many shaded by trees. Right on the river with lovely walks along the river bank, restaurant right next to the camping park. Lovely site with very helpful and friendly manager.
