Been here?
TCS-run riverside campsite in the Maggia Valley, clean and well maintained with friendly, multilingual staff. Pitches sit close together and some are small, so it can feel busy and a bit noisy in high season, though most travellers still call it quiet and idyllic. The Maggia river runs alongside for swimming, plus a pool, pizzeria, small shop with bread service, and good bus links into Locarno. Sanitary facilities are clean but partly older in the lower section. Prices are widely seen as high for what's offered.

Very nice little campsite! Clean, modern sanitary facilities, shaded pitches, swimming pool and access to the river. Highly recommended.
Great place! We came here again with our kids. Sanitary facilities in good condition, pool available and also in good condition. There is also the opportunity to swim in the Maggia and go hiking. Simply lovely.
Campsite near the river. It has plenty of well-maintained sanitary facilities and a good pizzeria right next door, with takeaway available. However, the price is too high for the quality of the pitches, which are all close together with little grass. For one night in a camper with two adults and a dog, we paid CHF 84.
Quiet, clean and affordable. Low-season price with bus and one person: CHF 40 for one night. Ideal starting point for activities. Very friendly staff who also speak German.
Great place! This was already our second visit this year. Swimming in the Maggia and in the campsite’s own pool. The pizza on site is also good. Shopping by bus in the next town is no problem.
We liked it here very much: sanitary facilities good and clean; location and pitch directly beside the river are very beautiful.
Beautiful, beautiful, it has everything you need quiet, worth a break we will return
Beautiful campsite, run very professionally and in a friendly manner. Of course expensive, even with a discount, but after days of wild camping and parking, we felt like some luxury and treated ourselves to three nights. The sanitary facilities are first-class. The site is beautiful. Access to the Maggia is wonderful. It was our first time here and we would gladly return.
Very beautiful pitch in nature. We arrived without a reservation and the lady at reception was extremely kind; she found us an alternative and we were able to spend the night. In the middle of unspoiled nature with the river beside us, it was magnificent. The pools are very clean; unfortunately, it was raining when we were there. But a great place that I recommend; the restaurant was also very good.
This was our second TCS campsite. We stayed for three nights and had a great semi-shaded pitch with direct access to the Maggia, a large pool, shop and bread service. The staff were extremely friendly. Wi-Fi included. We paid €75 per night (7.4 metres, two adults, one child and a poodle). The Ticino Ticket lets you use public transport free of charge; the stop is about 300 metres away. We will come back!!!
Lovely campsite but it does get very busy and the pitches are quite small- as such it can be quite noisy. Facilities are excellent and there is a lovely pool and beach area on the river. Great cycle tracks from campsite into Locarno and also up the beautiful valley .
We stayed here for two nights and had a nice semi-shaded pitch with direct access to the Maggia—water shoes recommended! The staff were extremely friendly. You can borrow a power adapter for a deposit, and we received 10% off with our ADAC membership. Wi-Fi included. We paid €56 per night (6 metres, two adults). A bus ticket is also included in the price; the stop is about 300 metres away.
A campsite with many sporty guests. Despite it being mid-September, the campsite was almost completely full at the weekend. Everyone gets up early to go out into nature. A relaxed atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are not luxurious, but they are well maintained and clean. Reception was friendly. The restaurant next door has delicious pizzas. Bread service is available in the shop.
Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Right beside the river, where you can swim and cool off. The campsite offers everything you need. Very friendly staff. Dogs are welcome. The surrounding places throughout the Maggia Valley are very inviting for cycling trips. We will definitely return when we get the chance. Bravo.
Understanding staff regarding our late arrival. Sanitary facilities good and clean. Very good restaurant with a large, pleasant terrace. For tent pitches, cars must remain in the car park at the entrance. Very small shop. Quiet and beautiful valley. A little expensive for a small tent pitch.
Large campsite. Everything clean and fine. The price is only including electricity, unfortunately, as I do not need it: €51 per night, 5-metre van, two people. Large pitches, but you are not free-standing. Swimming pool, small restaurant, bread. Everything is really fine. The most expensive for us so far (we have now stayed at 15 campsites in 20 days?).
Beautiful campsite right beside the Maggia River. Equipped, clean and functional, with all necessary services. For one night in June with a 6-metre camper, we paid €35, with late check-in and early check-out at 9.
Two nights in a roof tent. The price-performance ratio works for me. Washing-up area and sanitary facilities clean. Very good public transport connection to Locarno and Ascona. Very nice lady at reception. I will definitely come back!
Super beautiful campsite! We had a pitch directly beside the embankment, with the incredibly idyllic river below. You can swim there too, if you do not mind the cool temperature. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained and new, and there is also a pool, shop and restaurant. The surrounding nature is beautiful for hiking and cycling. Well worth it!
