A relaxed campsite in a beautiful national-park setting, with access to the beach and river for swimming. The Finnish sauna is included daily from 18-21:00, while hiking and mountain-biking routes are nearby. A van with 4 people and no electricity costs 34 euros per night, and laundry costs an additional 5 euros. Service for emptying and filling tanks is charged separately.

Super campsite! Spontaneous, friendly check-in. Relaxed site, trampoline for children. Finnish sauna included daily from 6–9 p.m.; great swimming opportunities at the beach or from the bathing jetty in the river. Amazing surroundings in the national park for mountain biking and hiking, for experts or with children! Reindeer everywhere—even on the campsite! €30 (two adults, one child, van on grass without electricity). Highly recommended!
We spent 2 peaceful and pleasant nights. €34 per night for a van and 4 people (without electricity). Access to all amenities (only an extra €5 for doing laundry). Very patient and kind staff.
20€ to empty and fill up. got it down (reluctantly ) to 12€ just to empty black water. Pretty exaggerated, if you ask me ... Supply and demand I guess
Brr. Quite busy... and very expensive. The kitchen is useless. Everyone is in the sauna. The staff are very nice. Alright, just one night then.
Very expensive and unfriendly! Not a smile from the host at reception, barely a word. We stopped only to empty the grey water: €4! And the water is emptied into some kind of hole, suggesting it goes directly into the river right next to it... The camping pitches are simply gravel spaces. We would not have stayed there.
Nice campsite in a beautiful place. Clean service house. everything was perfect
Emptying and filling the motorhome costs €15. Everything worked and was easy to use.
Closed until 17 June 2025.
Also closed until 2 June. The drive there was pointless.
A clean and functional campsite in a good location. Cross-country ski trails start directly from the grounds, and it is only a short walk to the centre of Äkäslompolo. The shared facilities are intact and clean. Servicing skis was very easy in the designated maintenance room. The service was friendly and helpful. The site itself is not particularly attractive, and the winter pricing is reasonable with electricity.
There are not many options in Winter and this is one of the few. Price is very expensive Eur 40 for a camper one person plus Eur 15 for electricity. Bathroom could be warmer. Kitchen is only to cook and wash. No cutlery provided and no place to dine in. The most expensive camping so far in Finland for very few quality amnesties.
Large gravel area that was very busy during the week at the end of September. Not like a campsite, but more like a motorhome parking area, with tightly packed camping.
We were welcomed very warmly. Everything was very clean; we did not use the sauna. €36 for 2 people and €9 for electricity. Large (~8 kg) washing machine and dryer, €5 each. Drying room free of charge. Nice café with delicious cloudberry cake and good Finnish coffee.
Large, neglected gravel area with mediocre service. The location is excellent, and that is exploited here. The prices are far too high for what is offered. Children have to pay from the age of one; I have never experienced that at any other site. €43 plus €14 for electricity. Washing machine and dryer cost €5 per machine. For two adults, it would be €39 plus €14 for electricity.
Mediocre service; the sauna is usually available for only one hour a day. I had the feeling that the operators were not interested.
Beautiful large campsite, basically with everything you need. It loses points because the grey-water disposal was not open or cleared, and filling with water was not possible with a hose. Restricted use of the facilities at full price is not good. Otherwise everything was excellent. The Wi-Fi leaves something to be desired here and there.
Very warm welcome, beautiful spot by the water on lovely grass with a superb view. I paid €17 for a VW California without electricity and for one person. The price includes the sauna (separate men's and women's areas) and showers. Everything is very clean.
We paid €31 for a van pitch without electricity. You have to pay €5 per washing-machine and dryer cycle (outrageously expensive). The showers are communal, with no curtain for privacy. It is far too expensive for what it is. Fortunately, the owners are kind!
