Quiet municipal campsite in the village, with spacious grassy pitches, shade, bird watching, and cafés, restaurants, and a market within walking distance. A camper and 2 people with electricity cost €7.25. Clean bathrooms, hot water, full services, and friendly professional staff are available; reception is open from 9h to 13h and from 15h to 18h. The site is usually full during the National Horse Fair, held for 10 days beginning in November.

Very pleasant campsite, impeccably clean, grassy and shaded, with everything necessary. Good toilets. The price is pleasant too.
Very clean and organised campsite. The bathrooms were always immaculate and well maintained. The atmosphere is extremely peaceful, with only birdsong to be heard. It has an excellent location, with cafés, restaurants and a market just a few minutes' walk away. I recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable place to rest.
Good, very quiet campsite near the village centre and shops. The staff are friendly and the facilities are adequate. A good stopover.
Beautiful, quiet site on the outskirts of town. The sanitary facilities are dated; some fittings are broken, but everything is clean. The laundry room is closed. Shops and a restaurant are within walking distance. Very cheap—we paid €25 for three nights as pensioners.
A great campsite. The receptionist's service is among the best I have encountered in Portugal—a true professional. Congratulations to the Golegã municipal council for having such a highly competent employee. A rare thing in my country.
What a beautiful campsite… very well maintained clean facilities very spacious grassy pitches. Hot showers, very friendly staff… lovely town to explore. Incredibly cheap €7.25 for a camper and 2 people with electricity what’s not to love? Gate shuts at 6.00 and opens around 9.00 .. highly recommended
An incredible campsite, located in the town centre, with remarkable peace and quiet. The sanitary facilities are very clean. Retirees receive a 50% discount, including for visits. The staff are very kind and professional. We had lunch at a very good restaurant serving Portuguese specialities, “Cu da Mula,” with a perfect price-to-quality ratio. We would do it again.
€7.26 for a 7.5 m motorhome, two people and electricity. Well, we are elderly.
Fantastic helpful staff. Got a place during the National Horse Fair even though it was busy. Walking distance is just ten mins to the centre of town for all the horse events. During the Feria there is security down the road so you need to book in before they let you into the area
Super staff. Adequate facilities. We did get in for the horse festival for 2 nights with out a reservation. I know we were lucky but there were quite a few free sites. Horse fair was incredible and so accessible from the site. serenaded by musicians and entertained by horse people right in the campsite as well as the fair.
Very good: €7.50 for a van and three people in October.
Brilliant Municipal campsite with all that you require. We stayed two nights and because we are OAP's we were entitled to 50% discount. The reception staff was very accommodating and full of information on places to visit in the town. Providing visitors with a map highlighting what the town has to offer, museums & restaurants The site itself is relatively level and the facilities good and clean.
Human-scale campsite. Excellent sanitary facilities. Perfect welcome. Very, very reasonable price.
Excellent value for money. Many cats that look wild but are well cared for. Lots of sanitary facilities, somewhat dated, but excellent for one night. The village has many sights.
A campsite that is somewhat dated. The welcome was very friendly and you receive a small map of the town. Anyone who enjoys visits from flies and mosquitoes will be very happy.
Beautiful campsite, but the advertised price is only for pensioners. Small van, 2 people and dog, no electricity: €14.25... Still fair for Portugal. Clean sanitary facilities, very close to the town with all amenities; worth considering.
I called at 2:50 p.m. to ask whether there was room for three motorhomes; they said they closed at 3 p.m.
We are retired and receive a 50% reduction per person, for the pitch and electricity. Friendly welcome. Clean sanitary facilities. Washing machine available for €4 including detergent. Very satisfied, and it is a lovely small town.
No one reachable, email comes back undelivered without a reply. Very strange....MvL
