249 N13-6, 4900, Viana do Castelo
Been here?
A free parking area beside a sanctuary, suitable for visiting the monument and possibly staying overnight in the rear section. It offers shade, some level spaces, rubbish bins and free toilets at the sanctuary. The paved road and nearby traffic can be noisy, while the parking spaces are small for larger motorhomes. The location has views over the city, river and estuary.

Good place to visit the castle. Wide road ;) lots of people on weekends.Translating
Well-located parking area for visiting the church, with rubbish bins and a free toilet.Translating
Very good, with some traffic on the paved road. The sanctuary toilet is accessible. Bin nearby.Translating
Shame, lots of cars passing until 2 a.m. Young people gather in the bus parking area.Translating
Perfect: shade, flat, and cool in summer.Translating
Very good place to park, eat, and take the opportunity to visit the sanctuary. We arrived around 3 p.m. and it was practically empty, then it gradually filled up. Recommended for motorhomes.Translating
Simple free shadow parking next to a sanctuary, in a slight slope and close to a road so not to quiet. There aren't any services. Parking space are very small for motorhome but it is usually easy to find a place because it isn't very busy. At 5 minutes by foot there is an archaeological site.
Perfect for visiting the sanctuary.Translating
Perfect for a short or long stopover. No motorhomes here in this season. Magnificent views over the town, river, and estuary. Convenient for visiting this beautiful monument.Translating
Nice parking area for visiting; we only stayed there during the day.Translating
You can stay overnight farther down. After sunset, we were alone. The negative comments about the bells ringing are incomprehensible. I do not complain that water is wet either.Translating
Good place to park, with the funicular departing right next to it. Beautiful views and a quiet night. We arrived after 7 p.m. and had no trouble finding a space in the parking area behind the church. The road up is cobbled, but if you drive carefully it is easy.Translating
Quiet place for one night. Access is intimidating for a 7-meter motorhome: tight bends and a narrow road. I found it quite far from the town.Translating
Great for visiting the town. We were here in the off-season and were the only ones with a motorhome.Translating
