This is a roadside hiking parking area suitable for an overnight stop when self-sufficient. There are no facilities or direct lake access, although a pleasant forest path leads toward the lake. Road traffic is noisy, and mosquitoes can be severe, so keeping windows closed or using mosquito screens is advisable.

Spacious, quiet parking lot. You can hear the cars on the road a little, but there are MANY MOSQUITOES. It is excessive; impossible to leave anything open without a mosquito net or to stay outside. The forest route is beautiful and so is the lake. Do not forget repellent.Translating
We stopped on the way to Andechs Abbey. Lots of shade. We did not spend the night. When everything around Lake Ammersee is full, you can find peace and quiet here.Translating
Everyone, this is a hiking parking lot, not a motorhome pitch. And yes, the road runs right next to it. Still, there is a beautiful path directly down to the lake. If you want more, there is a pitch in Herrsching from €18 plus extras.Translating
