Camping La Deauville Valley

We spent two nights at this campsite, and in the end the sanitation facilities were barely clean. The dishwashing area needs cleaning, the grilles are covered in sparrow droppings, and the outdoor pool is like a pigsty because people enter and eat around the pool. There was no water in the footbath. For a five-star campsite, it is really lacking. I do not recommend it for the price.

Five stars is ridiculous. You book a pitch and are put outside the campsite in a meadow. At that price. Basic sanitary facilities without toilet paper are cleaned, but not well. Only two of the four showers were open. Paper lay on the shower floor for three days. Perhaps that is because they try to clean while wearing sunglasses.

Mixed feelings. It is far from being a bad campsite, but also far from five-star standard, apart from the steep price of €67 per night. All the services are equivalent to those of an ordinary two- or three-star campsite, nothing more. No daytime entertainment, and in the evening the entertainment was truly bottom-of-the-barrel. Very close to Deauville by bike, 4 km on a cycle path, which is excellent. Rating: 4/5 to be kind.

Very friendly staff. They take reservation requests into account. Nice large pitches, also for large motorhomes. The only downside is that there is just one water tap for motorhomes, and water costs extra.

Great campsite! A very nice swimming pool and a very small convenience shop. Very attractive pitches, clearly separated by hedges. Showers limited to ten minutes per day per person, which is more than sufficient.

£23 ACSI in June. Nice site with average pitches but 1.5m hedges give privacy. A very busy family orientated site so facilities were fairly clean but there's lots of people using them, especially by the pool. Best thing is the 4km cycle path from site to Deauville. Lovely town. €3 charge for water was irritating.

This is definitely not a five-star site. The pitches are nice, bordered by hedges. Otherwise, the showers and toilets are not clean and apparently were not cleaned during our stay. The baked goods are merely reheated. Better to drive to a bakery yourself. Water for the motorhome is not free either.

Good campsite, but be aware that the services are not included in the campsite price. A disgrace: €3 extra for 100 litres.

Good location close to Deauville. However, this really is not a five-star campsite. There is not even toilet paper in the toilets. Wi-Fi is expensive and costs extra, but it is very poor.

Where do the five stars come from? For €55 per night: no water or wastewater connection at the pitch, only one water point for motorhomes, 100 litres costs €3, showers limited to ten minutes a day with tokens and no temperature adjustment, lukewarm water, small children do not get a token so you have to share your time with them, two washing machines for hundreds of pitches, and baguettes like cheap supermarket bake-off products. At least the landscaped grounds are very well maintained and level.

Nice location. Close to Trouville by bicycle. Toilets have toilet seats, but unfortunately no toilet paper. Urinals did not flush properly. Sanitary facilities are poorly maintained. The campsite is good, but not five-star, more like three-star.

Despite many permanent guests in the cabins, you hardly notice the crowds. The campsite is simply good. By bicycle, you can reach the town and beach in 15 minutes. There are plenty of restaurants, with lots of seafood. Truly for enthusiasts.

Reception is closed from noon to 2 p.m.; bear this in mind when arriving. Wi-Fi is only available for a fee. One hundred hours costs €25, with smaller packages also available. It does not seem very up to date. Otherwise, as the previous reviewers have already described.

Top campsite, friendly and flexible staff, lovely swimming pool, beautiful grassy pitches, showers with a badge and sufficient daily credit, and actual toilet seats. Only 15 minutes by bicycle from beautiful Deauville via green cycle paths and along the impressive racecourse. The only downside is the lack of toilet paper, but otherwise everything is very good!

Strengths: bread available all day, beautiful heated aquatic areas, attractive motorhome pitches, cycle paths and supermarkets not far away, fishing pond. Weaknesses: reception, no toilet paper for a five-star site, rather cold showers with mould. Mixed overall impression; fortunately, the pitch assigned to us and the swimming pool were good.

The pitch itself and the bicycle route into town are perfect. The service buildings are old and neglected, with defective fittings and other problems.

We stayed at this campsite for work, and it clearly is not worth five stars. The sanitary facilities leave much to be desired, and the water-filling station is in about as good shape as my 95-year-old grandmother. The staff, however, remained very friendly, and the pitches are large. In short, it does the job, but for the price and advertised standard I expected something else.
