Central gravel parking, Saturday noise

Clean, well maintained and close to town. Great that someone offers such a motorhome site.

Beautiful, level gravel site in a central location. At €15, however, it is rather expensive because there are no services or toilets. At the youth center, you get the same service for free, officially; at Hotel Hilling, you get full services for the same price, although it is not as central. Overall, however, it is a top spot if you have a toilet on board and stay for no more than the weekend.

Site in the center. Registration forms are in a small shelter behind pitch 1; fill them out, put the money in an envelope provided, and place it in the mailbox about 50 m farther on. The street by the site is noisy on Saturday evening, with young people out and about. But it was quiet during the night and on Sunday morning. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether that suits them.

It's a shame what kind of people drive motorhomes. Complaining about car noise in the middle of town, having nowhere to dispose of anything for one night, and actually tracking dirt into the motorhome because you are standing on grass or gravel—is that really serious? Please go to a campsite. You cannot get more central than this. We are grateful that private individuals offer sites close to town. Thanks to the Schepers family.

Very good location right in the city, surrounded by some greenery. However, €15 is quite a lot if you do not use electricity. There are no supply or disposal facilities at all. We deduct points because there is not even a rubbish bin or recycling container; that is absolutely unacceptable.

Very nice, central site for exploring the city and visiting the Meyer Werft. The price of €15 per night with electricity is perfectly reasonable. Everything is very well maintained and uncomplicated.

We spent two very pleasant nights here. It is truly excellent for visiting Papenburg and the shipyard, and the site is very nicely laid out for its location. At €15 per night it is completely reasonable. Vehicles longer than 6.40 m may find maneuvering somewhat tricky, especially if only the rear pitches are still available. Thank you!

We will gladly come again! The site is clean and well maintained, registration is contactless, and the operator can be reached by email and phone. Upon request, we were able to empty the toilet cassette into a designated shaft, apparently if staying for two nights. All in all, recommended!

The site impresses with its central location, just a few steps from the town center. Smaller motorhomes have enough space. Papenburg is a beautiful little town, and you can cycle wonderfully in the surrounding area. It was very quiet at night.

A very nice motorhome site in a central location, just a stone's throw from the canal and pedestrian zone. The site is well laid out and registration is uncomplicated. Unfortunately, the effort of the site operators is ruined by some car and motorcycle drivers who drive back and forth right beside the site all night in their very loud vehicles. We barely slept a wink.

Wonderful campsite in the center. Quickly reachable from the canal and also the city park. Very well maintained and perfectly reasonable at €15 including electricity!

This site costs a flat rate of 15 euros per night including electricity (the stated 10 euros without electricity is incorrect). We stayed here for 2 nights in space No. 5. Unfortunately, beside the paved motorhome lane there is no gravel, so you bring a lot of dirt into the vehicle. What a shame.
