River parking, very sloping

Very pleasant and peaceful place by the river. Cars park here during the day, but it is quiet in the evening. The town center is very close. We stayed one night. No services.

We stayed here for two nights in a campervan. Beautiful view of the river. Within walking distance of the town, shops, and pubs. The castle has a public toilet. There is a wonderful walk to Swiss Cottage. We definitely recommend this place. There are no facilities, but it is free. Thanks to the municipality for its hospitality. Tip: install a rubbish bin!

The road to get there is currently under construction, but it is still passable. However, it is very steep, making it difficult to spend the night there. It is better to use the large castle parking lot, which has no overnight prohibition or height barrier.

Few spaces, but enchanting, by the river with a view of the castle. Quiet, and perfect at night. The small town and the castle can be visited on foot. Parking is free.

Great parking spot for small campers next to a park, a church, and the spectacular castle. Slightly sloped. Nice little town with many bars and a few restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed here for the day, a lovely spot by the river to fish and relax. It’s fairly busy as a walking spot for people who come down the river. Should be good to stay overnight but we wanted to move on. I didn’t think too much of the slope of the ground and would be perfect to sleep, no issue. A lovely pizza place right at the entrance to the car parking. More than enough room to get a 7.5M down

No problem with a campervan, a picture-perfect spot by the river and on the edge of the park. Peaceful night.

Attention, motorhomes: the post office vans are almost always parked in the narrow access street. You will only find out once you reach the bottom whether a car is parked beyond it and blocking the turn. It was very difficult for us to get out with a 7.5 m vehicle. There was only 10 cm clearance on one side and 5 cm on the other to make the turn and climb back up the lane.

Van owners should be a little more honest in their comments... but I understand that nowadays they rule the roost almost everywhere. Parking also suitable for 7 m campers like ours without too many problems. Access is a little narrow from the main road, but nothing impossible. By the river and near an abbey with a pedestrian walkway. Fantastic.

Very nice place by the river. Quick access to the castle and town center. For vans only. It just lacks toilets!

Entrance to this location may be difficult to find. Travelling out from the centre of the town on Church Street, take the 1st left down a narrow road (between the Post Office and Galileo Restaurant) I agree with all of the other comments, quiet, great location, limited to about 5.5m and small slope. Had a lovely evening meal at the Galtee Inn, less than 100m from this parking lot.
