Strada Provinciale 32, 37011, Bardolino
Been here?
This is a very small, quiet wild spot beside a monastery, suitable mainly for small vans. The narrow, steep and winding approach has deep holes, and vehicles longer than about 5m are not recommended. There is no water point, but some shade is available and the area is peaceful at night, with occasional walkers or runners. Space is limited to roughly 2 or 3 small vans.

The access road is a little challenging during the last kilometer; vehicles cannot pass each other. However, it is worth it. Sleeping alongside the monastery's olive grove wall, buying their organic olive oil, and enjoying the tranquility of the place is truly worthwhile.
Nothing special, just useful in a pinch. There is nothing particular here, but the place is quiet, which is already appreciated. Please leave the site clean and remain discreet. Avoid bringing out tables, chairs, towels, or any other equipment to preserve this place. Without everyone's respect, wild camping will eventually be banned, as has already happened in Slovenia and Croatia.
Great pitch. The roads are narrow and winding; driving there with a motorhome or car is probably rather difficult. We shared the pitch with three other cars/vans, while we were parked a few meters back along the road. It is completely quiet, with only runners passing late in the evening or early in the morning. No bins or sanitary facilities.
Nice parking spot for a night. No view or anything but very quiet. We and some other people stayed there with a van which fit comfortably but I would say that 3 vans is the maximum. The road up is pretty narrow so I wouldn’t try it with anything larger than a van.
Very pleasant and quiet place. A few hikers pass by, but it is not disturbing. No access difficulties for a normal-sized camper. No water point, but it is possible to park in the shade.
Small space and we arrived late. Despite 2 vans being here already we had space enough to park for the night without being too close. Very calm and away from the towns surrounding the lake
If you arrive in the morning, you have a good chance of finding a place to park. The approach is relatively bumpy and winding, and passing traffic makes it tight. Halfway there is a place to unload rubbish and dispose of glass. During the day, expect lots of mountain bikers and walkers. You can easily walk to the nearby viewpoint or to Garda, with sturdy shoes.
There are two or three spaces for small vans. We slept very well, away from the noise of the towns, surrounded by nature. No cars passed by, only a few runners in the morning and people going to the hermitage. Magnificent place.
Nice place next to a monastery. However, the road up is steep, narrow and has several very deep holes. No large campers, it is a very small parking, two 5m campers and 1-2 local small cars will fill it completely. At 7m you might have fun turning ;) longer is not possible.
Very narrow access, not suitable for large vehicles.
Spent a quiet night here. The next morning we bought things in the monastery shop. Great products. The hike to the viewpoint overlooking Lake Garda is highly recommended.
We spent a quiet night here. In the morning there were some cyclists and walkers, but otherwise little traffic.
Very quiet at night. It was not really clear whether parking there was allowed, but nobody complained. In the morning, two or three large hiking groups and some cars passed by. Otherwise, a beautiful natural place for one night if you do not need services. A good starting point for hikes with a great view of Lake Garda.
Attention: almost inaccessible by motorhome. A van is fine, but the road is very narrow and the final stretch is a track. Better avoid meeting anyone coming the other way.
Perfect for a quiet night in nature, which is very rare in this area. Little space and no view, but very peaceful. A few runners and cyclists in the evening, but not disturbing at all.
Very good spot, with three or four spaces for a van. Hikers pass by, but it is not disturbing.
We had a quiet night in a rooftop tent. A few passers-by, but no disturbance. It is a shady place with some mosquitoes. No water point.
Very good place to stop. Some fresh air and shade. Easily accessible; we were alone. Hikers and mountain bikers pass by.
Very pleasant! It is hard to find a better place so close to Lake Garda. Remote and therefore very quiet at night. A small dirt road leads there, but it is very accessible. We were two vehicles that night and there was plenty of space. It is the starting point for hiking trails, so there is a lot of traffic before 8 p.m., but it quickly stops.
Very beautiful place in the middle of nature. No traffic during the night, only cicadas when we woke up. Two spaces for vehicles that are not too large.
The space is really limited and access is not easy. We preferred to go elsewhere.
Great! One or two spaces maximum for small vehicles such as vans. Very quiet in the evening, but quite a lot of traffic in the morning because it is a starting point for hiking and cycling. Flat spot.
Flat place with no view of the lake, but the view on the way to the spot is very beautiful.
Place in nature, good for hiking. There are no marked parking spaces; you park at the edge of a turning circle. The night was very quiet. Because the place is so remote, it feels a little unsafe in the dark. No prohibition signs or services.
Flat, with space for several vans, and quiet. No view. Quite a few hikers pass in the morning and evening, but they are very friendly. A good stop in this area, which has few natural spots. We had a procession in the evening, with many people going to the monastery, but there were no problems with them.
We drove away again. In my opinion, this is not a motorhome pitch. We felt as though we were disturbing people, between hiking trails and the access road.
Very good place to sleep, quiet except for a few hikers and cyclists passing in the morning, but not disturbing. Three or four vans maximum, I think.
Great place, space for three vans. We slept well. Lots of hikers and cyclists on Saturday morning.
Good place for one night! The approach could be difficult with larger vehicles, but no problem with a van or transporter. At the top of a mountain, very quiet. The hikers and cyclists passing by are very friendly. We stayed with another camper. Please keep it clean and do not defecate in the woods, people; you do not do that at home either.
