Free roadside parking area near Malbun ski resort, right beside a stream and reached via a steep, winding climb of 25-40 minutes. Officially designated parking is at the paid Parking 2 (15 CHF) nearby, but this spot has no signage forbidding stopping and travellers regularly park and sleep here overnight, generally undisturbed, though at least one traveller was moved on by police and locals report police tolerating others. Mostly quiet at night despite being next to the road, with the stream masking road noise; one report of a loud nearby party. Fairly level, partly shaded ground with no facilities, though a paid motorhome area with services is a short drive further up. Can be inaccessible in winter due to unplowed snow.

Great spot. Beside the road, so somewhat visible, but quiet at night. Cows and a small farm, with the stream below. A peaceful night.
We could not get in because of the amount of snow; unfortunately, they do not clear the road in this area.
Steep and long climb to get there, but quite worth it. Beautiful surroundings and big space. It is right next to the road so you will be visible by those driving by, but we did not have any issues.

Very beautiful and quiet, with access to the stream. Not officially permitted, but the police drove past all the obvious campers and said nothing.
Great parking to access Malburn village. The Gina walk from the top of the cable car is definitely worth it. Nice little village with beautiful surroundings walks.
Great place! We spent two good nights here, waking up in the company of horses. Beside the road, but it has little traffic in the evening, and the sound of the water drowns out the traffic.
Beside the main road, I spent two nights there with another motorhome owner. A lovely little river at the back, flat gravel ground. No sign prohibiting parking. There is a sign indicating that Parking 2 is for motorhomes, which does not prohibit parking day and night at this spot. I had confirmation from an official of Malbun village.
Beautiful nature but the parking was very uneven. At 8:30 AM we got send away by the police. I'd say this place is not worth the risk and the steep climb
