Riverside area, barrier failures

Noisy, with people passing through the pitches. It could be more of a car park than a service area, and next to a pétanque court where people play at night and prevent you from resting. We will not return. The town is beautiful and worth a visit.✦Translating

Took 30 mins to get through the barrier even after speaking to CampingCars site on the phone but once in, a shaded, quiet night under the trees with electric. Lovely village to visit. There is also the Municipal Camping Car parking directly opposite the barrier which was also open overlooking the river and use of showers and electricity but was more expensive at 22 euros.

The capacity, if it is accurate, is closer to that of a car park than a service area. As of today, the rubbish bins have been overflowing for more than 24 hours and are beginning to give off a corresponding smell. Otherwise, the village is welcoming, but Camping-Car Park has nothing to do with that...✦Translating

Very beautiful village with many things to visit. We were welcomed very well. The CCP service area is not my favorite: visually there is no distinction between the car park and the service area, there are no markings delimiting the pitches, and the barrier does not work, which causes some disorder.✦Translating

Lovely village to stay in. Entry barrier to mostly grass pitches, with a service area outside. However, the exit barrier was broken for all 3 days, requiring daily calls for assistance. One call left us on hold for 5 minutes with no answer, while another phone got through immediately, suggesting the queue wasn’t working—frustrating when calling from an international number.

The site is a Camping-Car Park site with barrier entry. Motorhome service area outside the barrier. It was €15. Most pitches are on grass although there are three at the back that are hardstanding but sloping. All with EHU. Access via the D706 is quite good but other roads coming from the north are narrow. Village within 100m with bars and bakery but all seemed closed on Sunday.

We were thinking of going in here but took one look and left. All very close together in a very busy area. Huge car park next door and it didn’t tick our box. A personal opinion. We like a bit more space.

Shaded pitches, but you have to accept the pétanque competitions right next door, with music and large floodlights from time to time. Pitches are tight for the advertised number; it depends on whether you like direct contact with your neighbors. Nice little village, but you can quickly see it all. I hope the outdoor cafés and other eateries are open when you visit; unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy Carmen's café on a Thursday in August.✦Translating

Ideal for visiting this village with its many activities. Pleasant shaded pitches. The sandy soil and dust are rather annoying. Quite noisy during the day, but without disturbance, and very quiet at night. Excellent grocery shop and bar. Fantastic location near the river, where swimming is permitted. Magnificent village beside the river, absolutely worth visiting. Perfect starting point for canoeing, with swimming 2 minutes away. Clean, well-maintained pitches under the trees, but beware of tall vehicles. Electricity, public toilets, and pétanque courts nearby. Area managed by Camping-Car Park. Saint Leon sur Vezere is fairly local to us and we’ve visited this aire a few times previously. We were disappointed to find the aire has now been taken over by Camping Car Park with the associated increase in price for no extra facilities. Current price is 15€ with, as far as we could see, no reduction for day parking only.

€15 per night, and the municipal gardeners were mowing the lawn at 7:30 in the morning... I've never seen that... Someone needs to have a word with them!✦Translating

Area currently free, the service point is not working, probably following the major floods at the end of April; the municipal campsite is also closed, but the barrier is open. Follow the directions carefully to reach the area reserved for motorhomes and don't confuse it with P1, which is full of cars. The area is spacious and green. Very peaceful night, charming village.✦Translating

Area currently under construction. There is a small car park called P1 where motorhomes are allowed, but it is overrun with cars. Right next to it is a very large, newly developed car park, two-thirds of whose spaces are available. However, the entrances have height barriers limiting vehicles to 2.10 m. Go figure.✦Translating

Not a great area, not far from the village, average surroundings. The worst thing for me was no bins; you have to take your bag to the municipal campsite. You might as well go to the campsite; the area is expensive, with water charged extra on top of parking, and no electricity. Disappointed.✦Translating

The prices are not displayed. €5 for the Camping-Car Park membership card, required to access the services. €6 for the services, with a minimum €10 top-up on the card. It is expensive just to empty waste and fill up with water. Once you press the stop button on the water tap, that's it, regardless of how much water you collected. Not very practical.

Motorhome area that does not look inviting at first. It is located between two car parks. No electricity, and the paid services are outside the area, but they work well. Pleasant because it is shaded, which is appreciated at this time of year, and quiet at night. The entrance terminal was not working, so we had to call Camping-Car Park, who opened it for us.
