Been here?
Grass parking near the Danube, close to a ferry, playground, football field and small beach. A nearby restaurant or café provides food and drinks, while the area is suitable for self-contained stays without supply or disposal services. The church bell chimes every 15 minutes throughout the night, and trains can be heard across the river. The place is generally spacious and quiet.

Right in the middle of town—it feels strange sleeping directly in front of the residents.
Beautiful and quiet car park directly on the Danube at the edge of the village (in February). The church bell strikes every quarter hour; I consider it pleasant village atmosphere. Restaurant nearby; otherwise, self-sufficient parking without water or waste facilities is possible. The ferry is for pedestrians and cyclists and, according to the website, will be closed on Mondays from 2026.
A lovely spot right by the football field and river. Unfortunately the nearby church bell chimes every 15 minutes and on the hour all night and the train line on the other side of the river can also be heard.
I spent one night here. It was very quiet and idyllic. Directly on the Danube. Plenty of space, and a boat passes by from time to time. Please leave the site clean and tidy. There are no bins, so please take your rubbish with you.
Lovely little site with a playground, football field and the finest view, as well as a small bathing beach. Quiet, with little traffic. A small café with ice cream, food and drinks is just a short distance away, and there are good cycle paths to Regensburg.
Beautiful overnight site. The railway line on the opposite side of the Danube is not disturbing. The church bell tells the time every quarter hour. We had dinner at Zunftstüberl for €50: two substantial hot meals, two half-litres of draught beer and two shots of Blutwurz. The Danube is suitable for swimming here only in the bathing bay by the ferry (current speed/unknown bank reinforcement).
We arrived at the end of the day after a long drive and it was perfect: by the water, with a kind of small beach ideal for children, great swimming in beautiful surroundings, and a small restaurant with a lovely child-friendly terrace five minutes away. We did not spend the night there, as we still had kilometres to drive, but it seems entirely possible and pleasant.
Very quiet place between the Danube and the village. Heavy rain could cause problems with the ground, but otherwise you can spend a very good night here.
