20 Boulevard François Mitterrand, 09000, Foix
Been here?
Free parking for about a dozen motorhomes below a vineyard lot in central Foix. Access is steep, narrow, and difficult for vehicles over 6.5 metres (impossible to reverse out). Recent visitors report poor maintenance, odours from overflowing bins, and dirty conditions despite free services (water, waste). Quiet at night but site upkeep is unreliable.

Close to the historic centre, well maintained and free. Worth it.
This is supposed to be a high-end parking area. Access is not easy. You are packed in like sardines if you can even find a space. The place is dirty and poorly maintained. The smells are awful and the bins are overflowing. The prison is directly above; perhaps you sleep better there. Its only merit is being close to the historic centre. A shame for this beautiful town.
Thank you for this ideal parking area for a half-day visit to Foix!
Poorly accessible, at the end of a sloping dead-end road, impossible to turn around. Avoid.
Very well located. Good access. All services. Recommended.
Thanks to the municipality for making it free. Very quiet at night, but unfortunately not maintained. Very close to the town and all services work.
Many thanks for the service and disposal facilities. However, there is hardly any shade—it is hot and very cramped. We drove on.
A beautiful free place provided by the mayor. Thank you to him. But there are too many motorhomes parked long-term, and they are not especially clean. What a shame.
Thank you to the town for this central location near the shops. Very quiet night and useful free services. We will return.
Thanks to the town for this parking area and the water. We stopped while visiting the town, but it deserves a thorough cleaning; there are smells like those in the streets and alleys of Foix. A shame. Not suitable for sleeping.
Excellent place to spend the day and also the night. Very quiet and paved. You need levelling blocks. Quiet and free. There are facilities for emptying tanks and filling with water.
The area does not really make you want to spend the night there, but it deserves credit for existing. It is close to the town and has fresh-water and wastewater services, all free.
They tried to rob us last night even though the area was full of motorhomes. It was a silver Renault Clio with young men who watched us until we went to sleep, then took the opportunity to approach in their car. The gendarmerie and local police who attended our report were both very helpful.
I did not stay because of the area and the slope of the ground, but it is fine for seeing the city.
We spent one night here. Very quiet and relatively close to the centre. There are facilities for emptying grey and black water and filling with fresh water. The downside is that the ground is uneven and you need levelling blocks.
Very quiet at night. The emptying and filling facilities worked well, but you need a small nozzle for the tap. Five minutes from a large supermarket and ten minutes from the town, with a pleasant pedestrian centre.
Parking area, emptying of black and grey water, and water supply—all free. Well located close to the town. Bring levelling blocks. Many thanks to the municipality for this place reserved for motorhomes. Given that it is free, the criticism seems unwarranted.
Everything very easy, and close to the center, barely 10 minutes away
A simple, free campsite close to the city. We spent a quiet night. The disposal facilities are very basic. You can take on water, empty wastewater, and dispose of the toilet.
Perfect, thank you for this convenient area close to the beautiful town of Foix
Clean and quiet area. There are enough spaces this season to park peacefully. The town center is not far on foot
Very practical aire for visiting this beautiful city. The castle and old town are superb. A few friendly residents on the aire, with no problems. Free aire, thanks to the municipality. Just steps from the city center. The only necessary improvement would be a 90-degree elbow at the cassette toilet rinse point: the water sprays horizontally and has dug a hole in the asphalt, while the dump point is not rinsed.
Very practical for a stopover. We spent a quiet night here. It was busy, but I still managed to park my 7.5 m motorhome.
Super crowded. The road there is very narrow through the packed, narrow town. The tap is too small; no adapter fitted. The water button must be pressed, so only a little comes out each time. We came here for nothing. I would not want to sleep there either.
Grateful for the free water but not a nice place to sleep. We decided to leave after filling up our water tank as the vibes were really off.
A parking area for motorhomes—not very exciting, admittedly, but at least it exists, and it is free! Close to the town center and castle on foot. A very quiet night too. We had been warned that the spaces were small and sloping, but we managed to park our 7.4 m motorhome.
Basic area with a slight slope when parking diagonally. Otherwise very quiet.
Good place to visit Foix, very close to the historic center. Some slope in the diagonal parking area, but fine with leveling blocks. Quiet area. Thanks to the town hall for this place!
Many thanks to the town council for these spaces. It is very close to the center and we were able to visit Foix. We arrived late at night and found one empty spot. In my opinion, they should charge a small symbolic fee so that other users who camp permanently would not take up space needed by genuine travelers.
It is a very peaceful place, with lovely walks along the river, and you are quickly in town. It is great that this place exists. It is clean too.
Area with all services. Separate taps for drinking water and the toilet cassette. Ten minutes from the center.
We only used it to see the town and castle. It was full.
This parking area reserved for motorhomes is very good. Quiet and very close to town. Perfect for visiting the city. Perfect for sleeping peacefully.
Perfect for emptying gray and black water and filling up with fresh water. No difficulty getting there in a van, and it is free. Thank you to the town.
Excellent motorhome area, slightly downhill (everyone had leveling ramps, and we used them too). There are bins, wastewater drainage, and a water refill point (note that you need a hose because only the tap is provided). There are not many spaces; we arrived around 8 p.m. and it was the last one. Recommended.
It is only suitable as parking for visiting the town. During my visit, one user had the television on very loudly, and another occupied three spaces by parking lengthwise rather than in the marked perpendicular arrangement. The police came to issue a fine.
Adequate area; depending on the space, you may need leveling blocks. The gray- and black-water dump facilities are fine. Water filling is free. Perfect for visiting the town and spending the night. Thank you.
Perfect for visiting Foix. Many thanks to the town council.
Quite steep but works alright for exploring the city. We didn’t spend the night
Nothing more than a parking lot: convenient and close to the center (5–10 minutes on foot). Some bad smells, but that is the same throughout the rest of the city.
Ideal for spending the afternoon and visiting the town and castle.
Be careful: with a large motorhome and trailer, getting out is difficult because there is only one entrance and exit. Cassette dump point filthy.
Ideal for spending the evening in Foix or being there early in the morning while it is cool. We arrived around 6 p.m. and there was still plenty of space, but it filled up very quickly. Very quiet—you can even hear birds and the river, which is surprising since you are in town. Ten minutes on foot from the tourist center. Not the prettiest spot of the trip, but very practical.
