Woodland car park, noisy nights

A good-sized, fairly level free car park beside woodland, with walking, running and cycling paths nearby. There is room for 7-10 campers, although potholes and a few uneven areas require care, and there are no bins. Recent stays have been peaceful, but other reports describe frequent nighttime vehicles and sexual activity, so quietness is not assured.

Great stop, arrived at 12.20am. There was only one other van there. Lots of space. Beautiful walks, amazing place to wake up in.
Beautiful location—paths for walking, running and cycling right on your doorstep. Peaceful night, with no dodgy activity on a Tuesday night. No bins.
Was going to park at '(WS12 4PR) Cannock - Marquis Drive' but put off by the crater sized potholes! Parked here instead. There were 2 other vans parked up when I arrived and, as far as I know, no other vehicles arrived or left between 21:00 and 06:00 the next morning. I might have been put off by the reviews, if I'd read them, so glad I didn't.
this is a very active dogging site. very active! and the places near by too. its quite terrifying being a girl on your own and people driving right up to your car with their lights shining through!
stayed here on a Friday night, a few cars pulled up seemed to be youngsters pulling up for a chat but no bother, we did clear up a full bin bags worth of litter from the car park. would stay again !
Car pulling up constantly. Spoke to a local about it; apparently people meet up for hookups on this an many other parking lots around the area
A really beautiful place to stop for the night, and plenty of flat places to park (if you dodge the potholes). A great place to walk too.
The road is noisy early in the morning, but there is a large car park next to a forest. Lots and lots of dog walkers. Large more-or-less flat area with potholes.
We spent one night here with four other campers. Enough space for everyone. The place is beside a road but fairly quiet at night. We slept well.
Great place to stop. Room for several vans, flat and at this time of the year obviously gets muddy. It does say on the front sign no camping or caravans but we had no trouble. One of them, leave no trace, cause no problems, get no problems.
Very beautiful and quiet place, not completely flat everywhere! But it is great.
good parkup. quite close to the road but nice and flat. one other camper there when I turned up. some dog walkers in the morning. lovely night!
Very large flat carpark. Went on a gorgeous walk up through the heather and into the woods, so many benches around it was lovely. No other vans. Fab spot!
