Calm riverside, algae risk

We came for lunch but did not stay because in this June heatwave the water was completely covered with green algae, very shallow, and there was very little water at the start of the season. We decided to change sites. Otherwise, the place is pleasant. The field had been mown. We were alone.✦Translating

Walking and mountain-bike paths nearby and, for sporty visitors, a cycle route along the railway and the Dordogne. Hamlets beyond the main road. Haha, one person says there are no rubbish bins—which is normal, it is a field—and another says there are rubbish-bin smells. How is that possible if there are none? Anyway, a very good spot for a quiet night by the water. Access is tricky for large motorhomes, but I got through with a 7.5-tonne vehicle.✦Translating
