Riverside parking, quiet nights

Very quiet campsite, idyllically located by the river. Seating and bins on site. However, vehicles should not be longer than 6 meters. The through road is nearby, but we had a quiet night.

Close to the shops, we spent a good, quiet night after leveling the vehicle, as the parking area is slightly sloping.

There were no spaces vacant when I arrived. Had to drive to the end to possibly turn round. Then I saw the possibility of parking right at the end. Not sure how long this will be allowed. I had a beautiful couple of nights listening to the river. Can recommend McNamaras Bar for a snifter.

Convenient for spending one night after the Connemara. Quiet at night, but the town comes alive in the morning. Near a stream and a small park. Nice for having one or two drinks because it is close to pubs and other places. Possible to park with a 6-meter vehicle.

We arrived here in the middle of the night because we had to leave another place due to a storm. We had an absolutely quiet night and enough parking space. As others have described, it is right in the middle of town, but as an emergency solution it is absolutely perfect.

We stopped there to eat. At that moment it was busy, with local people coming and going, picking up children, and café visitors. Be careful where you park, otherwise they may block you in.

Small parking area beside the river, with children’s play equipment and picnic tables. A little noisy because the village’s main road is very close. Shops just a few meters away.

Lovely little spot by the river, right at the entrance to the town, with picnic tables and bins. Ideal for visiting the town, having a drink in the evening, etc.
