A shaded riverside picnic and camping area beside the Gauja has a small beach, swimming, three camping spots, tables, barbecues, shelters, and toilets. The site is also used for launching canoes and boats. It is easy to reach beside the road, with occasional daytime traffic and quiet nights. The dry toilet was reported unusable, leaving only a hole in the ground.

Very easy to reach as it is directly beside the road. Large enough for several campers, with plenty of space between them. Occasional traffic during the day; quiet at night. Great view of the Gauja River.
People use the beach to go out with boats and such. Three camping spots, clean river.
A beautiful spot by the River, road is close but very quiet . It's a launching place for canoe adventures
The composting toilet cannot currently be used. The toilet has been dismantled, so there is only a hole in the ground. The rest is good.
Site with toilet and rubbish bin beside the river, but too many noisy people. We slept at the one just before it and were alone there.
