34 Via Montecassino, 03043, Cassino
Been here?
A municipal parking area near Cassino city centre, useful for an overnight stop with working water and dumping facilities. It is not a designated motorhome pitch, has no lighting at night and the nearby road is audible. Evenings can bring young people, cars and occasional noise, while summer events at the adjacent Roman theatre may cause traffic. Large motorhomes could become blocked during busy periods.

Not an ideal place. Full of cars coming and going, with couples using the place to have sex.
Just experienced: be very careful. From this period and throughout the summer there are often shows at the adjacent Roman theater and, especially if you have a large motorhome, you could get stuck in the traffic. It is better to continue toward Montecassino Abbey. Unfortunately, the municipality deserves criticism for not organizing a suitable camper area.
This is not a designated motorhome pitch but a normal parking lot with a water and waste disposal station that works well. We spent one quiet night here despite young people gathering in the evening. It could perhaps sometimes get louder. The nearby road is audible.
Quiet, clean, and tidy camper area. I stayed only one night, but found it really welcoming and well maintained.
Very good during the week.
Very good place to sleep, nice and quiet. It is not lit at night. There is water and a place to empty waste.
Works well, although the installation is beginning to deteriorate. Thanks to the municipality.
Good and quiet overnight stop when traveling south to north. Some evening activity from young people in cars looking for privacy. Fortunately, no shouting or loud music. The carabinieri also passed by, which is positive.
Thanks to the municipality for this area. We stayed only for lunch. Since it was May 1st, it was fairly empty. We filled and emptied our tanks without problems and took a short break. I don't know what it is like in the evening.
It does the job. Young people come and go after making a bit of noise, but the night was calm and we slept well. The Roman amphitheater is open to visitors only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, as is Rocca Janula fortress—but when we passed on Thursday at 10 a.m., the young caretaker was opening it. Beautiful view of the city and Montecassino Abbey.
Saturday.constant movement all day and night.a couple parked right next to my van on an almost empty parking lot to have sex in their car in broad daylight.during the night people parked next to my van and had loud conversations, some just slammed doors. I was parked in the corner next to the handicap ramp with the view of the city over the hedges. maybe other corner would have been less popular.
Excellent parking lot with all services. Very convenient. We spent a quiet night. Thanks to Cassino.
As described. Fairly quiet parking lot for spending one night. It is possible to drain grey water and fill up with water.
I confirm that this parking lot with service point is worthwhile. HOWEVER, BE VERY CAREFUL with the navigator: in Cassino, take ONLY the indication for Montecassino Abbey, otherwise, following the navigator, you risk taking a road that will make you sweat with fear. I got there anyway, but with a few chills.
Quiet night outside the season. Access to water and grey-water disposal. Recommended.
Very good site even for several days, full service. Recommended.
Convenient, level parking lot. Four stars because at 1 a.m. some young people decided to come and listen to loud neomelodic music in the parking lot.
Lovely stopping area with water and waste disposal. Take Via Montecassino to reach it. There is also some shade. We stopped only for lunch, but staying overnight should not be a problem. Recommended.
Please note Google can take u up the “Via Don Angelo Pantoni” which very narrow and absolutely unsuitable for motorhomes. Take the main road up “Via Montecassino”. We just used the black water and grey water emptying but seems a great place to park for the night as well. Thank you to the local council for this free facility.
Well-located area for visiting the archaeological site (note: open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning). The spaces are spacious. Parking shared with cars. All services are available. Thanks to the municipality.
Easy access (beware, there are two entrances, one of which is a very narrow road). Free parking and essential services, grey- and black-water disposal, and drinking water.
very nice spot. everything is fine here.
Unfortunately, we could not stay because there was a concert that evening. We will sleep in the large parking lot in the town center.
A little traffic noise from the road and many young people who come in the evening and sit in their cars with loud music, while throwing rubbish on the ground.
Easy and accessible, as of today, around midday, it was virtually empty. Good for discharge grey and dark water in a comfortable way. Water faucets without hose.
Currently closed for an art festival. Designated as parking for the event.
Very quiet. Parking at the archaeological museum as well. Waste-water disposal and fresh-water refill. Thanks to the municipality.
I only used the camper service while going up to the abbey. Convenient drain grate, two taps for filling water with strong pressure. Thanks to the municipality, a friend to itinerant travelers.
