Ahlhorner Straße, 26197, Großenkneten
Been here?
This quiet, level, paved overnight area in the village is next to a kindergarten and the shooting club’s clubhouse. Potable water costs 1 € for 80 l, electricity is available for only 4 pitches, and grey-water, toilet disposal, and water services are reported on site. The area officially has three spaces but offers more room, with small trash cans provided. It can be noisy during shooting-club events, while a bakery is a short walk away.

Grey water, electricity, drinking water, peace and quiet.
I found a space there and had a quiet night. Electricity is apparently available for only four spaces, but there are more parking spaces. Drinking water and toilet disposal are available. Eighty litres of water for €1.
From here we explored the Heidegrashüpfer trail and then spent a quiet night. We did not need any supplies. Disposal worked reasonably well, provided nobody parks in this space, which unfortunately happened yesterday. Thanks for this beautiful pitch.
What a wonderful place. Thanks to the municipality of Großenkneten. We took a lovely walk through the town and had a drink at Hotel Kampermann. We will definitely return.
Lovely place, nice and quiet. We did not need electricity or water, so we parked a bit further away on this large car park. Baker with fresh bread short walk away.
Access closed, with a 2 km detour signposted. Saturday evening, loud music from the rifle club next door, perhaps a shooting festival. Drinking water only if you have the exact €1. There is a drain in the parking area, but it does not look like a dumping station. With a fixed tank, emptying into the tiny toilet opening is impossible.
A clean and orderly site.
Basically very nice, but the electricity column accepts money without supplying any electricity.
Beautiful place. We arrived in the dark and everything was free. Building materials are still stored nearby for various construction sites in town, but they are not a disturbance at all. Nice for taking the dog for an evening walk. We did not use the disposal facilities. Thanks to the town of Großenkneten.
There is now storage for building materials and machinery next door. The electricity column is defective. We drove on.
Very nice spot, a little noisy in the morning but nothing serious. Services work.
Great site. Disposal worked perfectly and was free. Quiet, level and firm surface. Small bins, a bench and an outdoor table are available. Rifle club, school and kindergarten directly next door. We did not use the electricity. Definitely room for more than three vehicles side by side. Pizzeria 10 minutes on foot.
Quiet place, not much going on.
Pleasant green place for our stopover. Even on a Wednesday, when quite a few people came for darts night, everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately, the school playground was not accessible despite the earlier reviews we had read. But there was plenty of room for our daughter to play.
Stayed on a Saturday night—bad idea, with lots of noise, music and announcements from a darts club until 1 a.m. The rest of the time, this site is perfect during the week for a break, with all services available. Thanks to the town.
Quiet place near a school (with a playground that is open to others on weekends and in the evenings) and a cemetery, within walking distance of the village with a bakery. Spent one night, did not use electricity.
Great quiet night; the electrical hookup is currently not working. Three official spaces by the service point. Gray water can be dumped across the square opposite the clubhouse.
We arrived in the afternoon. Some caravans had settled in permanently. Somehow we had a strange feeling. There were no other campers. We moved on. Perhaps the place would have suited us at another time of year, as it is actually well located: shops, a bakery, and a restaurant are within walking distance.
Everything was wonderful. We stayed only one night, but it was quiet and everything was as described. We did not use electricity or water. There is an Aldi/Edeka and a bakery in the village.
Clean and super-quiet, free overnight parking space. I was there on a Tuesday and was probably lucky that there were no events at the shooting club and dart club. Wednesday is Dart Night. Good Italian restaurant (Bella Italia) and bakery (Bruno) right in the village.
Very pleasant spot in a lovely village. One drawback, however: there is no possibility of dumping gray water.
Easy access for all vehicles. Relatively flat in most places. Very quiet, slept well and would use again.
A beautiful, quiet, spacious parking area. There was a circus during our visit, but it caused few problems. Unfortunately, the electricity supply was not working. Apparently it did work for another camper, so we were able to use the remainder of his 2 kWh.
A really beautiful place. We were here on a Friday. There were activities in the dart club and shooting hall, and there was a circus at the site. But from 10 p.m. it was completely quiet. The short detour from the highway is worthwhile for an overnight stay.
Thanks to the municipality, great place.
A beautiful, quiet place as previously described. Unfortunately, I just saw a motorhome (Dethleffs), license plate VEC-P..., emptying its wastewater over the site and hurriedly driving away.
Great and idyllic place. Especially recommended for dog owners. Quiet, green—what more could you want? We will be back.
Everything was fine, but we are deducting two stars for the noise. We were unlucky here from Saturday to Sunday. First the dart tournament next door, then partygoers in the middle of the night, the church at 8 in the morning, and loud music from somewhere starting at 9.
Very quiet place to sleep despite a bar nearby. People left respectfully. We recommend this place. Thanks to the municipality.
Stayed here for one night. The restaurants in the village were easy to reach and the food was good too. This is how it should be. There was some traffic on the small road, but it did not bother me. Thanks to the municipality.
