Lakeside roadside parking, traffic and trains

Practical place to spend the night. A train passes behind and the road along the lake is in front. But the view is magnificent, and directly opposite there is a public beach with a table-tennis table and benches. The toilet was clean.✦Translating

The view of the lake is pretty, with a small beach below and toilets. We spent the night there because no restriction was indicated (€1.50 per hour), but it was noisy because of the road. In the morning, a police officer stopped to tell us that spending the night there was forbidden and that we had to go to a campsite.✦Translating

Top motorhome site. Directly beside the road, and a train passes occasionally, but it is right by the lake. Free from 19:00 to 08:00. Toilet very clean and right next door. Definitely great for one night!✦Translating

Parking area at Lake Maggiore. It is free at night, and from 8 a.m. you pay CHF 1 per hour. The parking area is directly beside a road and railway track. The road is not bothersome at night; the railway can be annoying if you are a light sleeper. The bus stop has a public toilet that you can use for free.
