Simple place with a view over the valley. Peaceful among the animals. Water available and a shower, but cold only. Excellent for stopping one night. We arranged everything with Maria via WhatsApp, as she was not available in person. There is no overnight fee; leave a donation. The nearby village has no places to eat, only a couple of poorly stocked bars.

The comment by skindude about the dogs is correct, but everything else is too. That is why we are still giving five stars despite the dogs.

A lovely place for a couple of days in Maria's yard. Water, electric, toilet and cold shower. Lovely views. I would call it "rustic charm". Only dropped a star because the dogs of the valley bark incessantly. But Maria is a delight and there is a fantastic organic vineyard 10 mins bike ride away called Quinta do Olival da Murta for tastings. Well worth it.
