This is a large lay-by beside a quiet road, with space for 2 vans, just after the cattlegrid before the Teesdale sign. Overnight stays are quiet and undisturbed, although the cattlegrid creates a little noise. It is a beautiful spot among the Pennines. Avoid walking in the surrounding area when the red flag for military shooting is raised.

Stayed here for one night, no disturbance. The road is quiet, with a little noise from the cattle grid. Be careful not to walk around the surrounding areas because a red flag has been raised for military shooting. Other than that, a really quiet, large space and a beautiful spot among the Pennines for a night's rest.
