A very large parking area at the Col du Gratteau with magnificent views over the Rhône valley. There are no services, but hiking and mountain-bike trails start here, including access to the 3 Dents in 5 minutes on foot. Nights are usually good, although recent stays mention increased vehicle movements and noise until 23h.

Superb view over the Rhône Valley. We spent a very good night. No services. The road is very beautiful.
Great place to spend the night. There was some coming and going near the parking area during the night, probably because the homes lower down have no signal and people drive up to get reception. In any case, perfect for parking the van, with a magnificent view in the evening and even in the morning when waking up. ❤️
A superb viewpoint, although the horizon was misty. We did not have a view of the Alps. We spent a quiet night with very little traffic. It is a little noisier in the evening because there is a lot of coming and going until 11 p.m.
A lot of traffic
Very good spot for the day or overnight: starting point for hikes, exceptional panorama overlooking the Rhône Valley, and Les Trois Dents accessible in five minutes on foot. Quiet at night despite the road. There were four vans at the end of October, and we enjoyed a magnificent sunrise over the Alps.
We arrived in the early evening in the rain, so we were very happy to find this large, empty parking area. Good place to spend the night.
Excellent stop for one night or as a starting point for a hike. We did both. It was perfect, with magnificent views during the hikes and a beautiful view over the valley. We spent a very good night.
A much more beautiful view than at the TV tower parking area. After 8 p.m. there was no one around anymore, and we had a peaceful night.
A breathtaking view. I spent one night there in midsummer—great. In the early evening, several people come to admire the view, but there are no safety concerns. Very good spot. I recommend it. 4G is fine!

Night of February 11, 2023: this spot could have been very nice if there had not been a constant flow of vehicles throughout the afternoon, and especially if we had not been woken during the night by young people in a car having fun skidding around the parking area and dangerously close to us. We left in a hurry. It was our worst night in a van!
Parking area without services, but flat and with a magnificent view over the Rhône Valley. Starting point for walks or mountain biking from the parking area. Very, very quiet at night.
Large, flat parking area with a magnificent view. Viewing platforms have been installed so you can enjoy the view—and life! Very quiet night.
Can't fault it as an overnight stop to hike or bike the next morning. No bins but no rubbish either. For us at the end of September the wind howled and the clouds hid the view, so bad timing on our part.
