Forest parking, fills early

Good, but for how long? Tonight it is a campsite! Some people are even making fires! Please leave this spot clean.

We enjoyed a peaceful night stop over here. Reindeer were wandering through the woods. Best to arrive early as spaces were taken quickly by early evening.

Very nice and beautiful natural place! Several spots can be found in the middle of nature. We hiked the Juutua Trail from here. We stayed overnight on 26 June with three other campers.

A very beautiful place with many niches, but they were all occupied during our visit. Very quiet at night, busy during the day. Well suited for excursions along the hiking trails to Inari and the Sámi Museum.

A good stop over for us apart from the mosquitos. There are some tracks around the lake which was great from walking our dogs. A quiet night spent. The park up is popular as there were 5-6 other vans parked up.

A nice place in the middle of the forest with several parking spaces. Almost no mosquitoes in the sunshine, access to the water and several wild fire pits. We spent the night here; it was very quiet and peaceful. I recommend it as a stopover in Inari.

A truly beautiful place with many possibilities for parking. You are right by the water and can listen to the rapids. Apart from the mosquitoes, the place is perfect.

Parking area without services (the entrance is not very visible); level pitches. Hiking routes start from here. We spent a quiet night with two campers, with the local reindeer as neighbours.

Perfect. We spent a very good night here. There were some mosquitoes, but nothing too bad. We started the Inari hike directly from here. Truly perfect.

We looked at the place in September 2024. The access is somewhat difficult, and the site is not signposted from the road. There were several Finnish campers there. There are no prohibition signs.

We could not find any signs prohibiting overnight stays. Many Finns also spent the night here, in motorhomes and tents.

No overnight stays, prohibited. Useless municipality; eat immediately and move on.

Natural location

Official written statement from the Inari Tourist Information: free-standing campers are not welcome in the Inari region. It is best to drive on immediately and avoid Inari.

Recently clearly marked with “no overnight / camping” signs! It can get expensive in Finland if you try anyway.
