610 Rue du Mellier, 80580, Eaucourt-sur-Somme
Been here?
A gravel parking area beside an old windmill, with four marked spaces, level hard-standing and views over the green Somme canal valley. A restaurant and barge restaurant are nearby, but campers were refused at 22h when the spaces were needed for restaurant customers. Do not use the restaurant’s customer parking. No reliable overnight access for campers can therefore be assumed.

When we arrived at 10 p.m., we asked the unfortunately unfriendly restaurant owner whether campers were actually allowed to park there. This was not possible because the restaurant customers were using the parking spaces. So we had to find somewhere else to spend the night.
This parking area is free! Some comments probably confuse it with the pitch down in the village. You can park very quietly up by the windmill; there is a gourmet restaurant next to it, so please do not park in the spaces reserved for guests. The restaurant is very good, by the way.
Very nice location. There are four spaces, but parking along the edge is tolerated if they are full. €10 for 24 hours. The mayor comes by to collect payment. Bring cash. A barge/restaurant just two steps away is very pleasant. I am keeping this address.
Very pleasant setting. Stabilized and level ground. Four well-defined, well-spaced pitches. Polite and smiling municipal officer. Thank you to the municipality for this spacious area that respects motorhome users.
An truly stunning view, complete peace and quiet and a lovely start to our roadtrip. Level, safe, hard standing free parking beside a pretty windmill. No services.
A completely isolated place in the fields, with difficult access; it is the site of an inn with a large view directly onto it. I do not recommend it; it is not a public parking area. Splendid village in the description, LOL! You don’t need much; it is the most ordinary village in the world.
We did not even have time to park. We were expelled and directed to an area in the village by the nearby restaurateur.
