33 Unterberg II, 59269, Beckum
Been here?
A relatively flat parking area beside an old windmill, suitable for a night with no facilities apart from a small rubbish bin. Hiking trails, a fitness trail and viewpoints are nearby, along with a small animal park. The road is within earshot but usually quiet at night. Cats live around the site, and peacocks can be heard.

Really a great place. If you do not mind that there are many cats around, which are fed and live in the bushes, and that peacocks make noises. Truly idyllic, with hiking trails, an outdoor fitness trail and viewpoints.
Beckum is always worth a trip, especially because of the beautiful camping area in the Höxberg nature reserve.
It was quiet, empty and very beautiful. Other drivers arrived in the morning, but that did not bother us.
We slept in absolute peace. We heard nothing from the road. Breakfast with a view of the windmill is wonderful.
An unsettled, cramped and noisy place. A kindergarten, dog-training school and animal park are right next door. We moved on.
Quiet and pleasant place to sleep. If you do not like animal noises in the morning, stay away. On the other hand, it is very pleasant for animal lovers. Lots of people in the morning, as parents drop their children off at the educational farm.
Wonderful place on the way to Cologne and Belgium. Quiet, accompanied by rabbits and a few beautiful cows. We were alone.
