Paid monument parking, night noise

We stayed in the parking lot just down the road,also free from 20-08. We were all alone and had a lovely night.

We slept well here. We were only slightly disturbed by a few couples who wanted to enjoy the view and other things. Until 5 p.m., the convent museum is open and the parking lot is full. From 6 p.m., all visitors have left and the place is completely empty. We were here with two other campervans. We did not notice any racing cars mentioned in the other comment.✦Translating

DO NOT STAY OVERNIGHT. It is allowed, but all night there are cars speeding, shouting, music, and horns (a Monday night in November). With two girls under 3 years old on board, it was worrying. It is better to park down below and come up only for the visit; if you arrive early, by 9 a.m. in this season, there is space. Very expensive bar (€12 for two coffees, two pastéis, and an orange juice).✦Translating

Most beautiful spot in town, totally worth paying a bit (from 8am to 8pm), if you have a van less than 3.5T then you can ignore the 1 star reviews. Also the "bad guys" aka just some local youth that was hanging around in the evening at this scenic spot for a bit. They didn't bother me at all, the world isn't yours people. There is a camera anyway.

The road prohibits vehicles over 3.5 tons, but apparently there is no enforcement, as several motorhomes were on this spacious parking area. We parked in the one below, which is smaller and has short spaces; we just fit at 6.10 m. Note that we arrived very early in the morning to make sure we got a place, at 8 a.m. There was nobody there. But by 10 a.m. it was packed and not a single space remained.✦Translating

Avoid to park here… bad guys are coming during the late night and play soccer or make noise speaking loud on view point. Avoid it

Excellent spot, nobody there except two vans for the night, including mine. Very quiet, although a stream of cars came to park in the evening for reasons unknown. A great plan for visiting the monastery first thing at 9 a.m., as the parking lot fills up quickly. Paid parking from 8 a.m., but very cheap.✦Translating

There was only one space left when we arrived at 3:30 p.m., but after visiting the convent almost all the cars had left, and we took the best spot because we were alone for the night. Quiet night. Limited to 3.5 tons.✦Translating

Easy-to-access parking area, wide enough for a large motorhome if you arrive early enough. Well located for visiting the convent, castle, and/or the beautiful village of Tomar. We did not spend the night there.✦Translating
