1 Chemin des Celtes, 1018, Lausanne
Been here?
Quiet layby near a small lake and animal park on the edge of Lausanne, popular with motorhomes for an overnight stop. Free at night and on weekends; a 3-hour parking disc is required daytime (8am-6pm weekdays). Space is generous, fitting large vehicles up to 7.5t, though weekends get busy with hikers and families so spots can fill by afternoon. A playground, pond, cafe and free toilets sit nearby, plus hiking trails and forest walks. Bus 16 reaches central Lausanne in about 15 minutes; some road/bus noise at night.

Excellent spot for spending the night, with several spaces. There are hikes near the spaces. There is also a bus to take you into the city center. In short, it is a great spot.
Perfect parking for the night. We could park easily with our 7.5-ton lorry camper. Quiet, and bus 16 stops next door. It is also easy to cycle to the town center and boulevard.
Ideal place for three hours during the day with a parking disc, and no nighttime prohibition, so it is quiet. Best spaces are after the pond and before the descent. Great starting point for a walk to the old town, 30 minutes via the pond and down through the forest, past Sauvabelin Tower, etc. A pleasant walk!
Practical and quiet for spending a night. A secret tip if you travel with children: inside the lake bar there are free toilets for them without having to buy anything. Bus 16 takes you to the center of Lausanne in 15 minutes.
Arrived late in the evening on November 8, 2025; no one there, very quiet. Peaceful night, and the bus is not too noisy. At 8 a.m. Sunday, quite a few hikers and cyclists. We returned Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. to leave the site, and there were no spaces available anywhere. Families come to play in the park.
Very good for spending the night, but on weekends it is busy during the day, making it difficult to find a space. Free at night and on weekends; no parking disc needed during the day on Saturday and Sunday.
Only for spending one night; somewhat noisy because there is a bus stop directly opposite. But a very good place—free at night, three hours of daytime parking with a disc—and close to Lausanne city center.
Good spot to settle in for the night. Quiet, pleasant surroundings. More people in the morning—hikers, dog walkers, and so on.
We spent a peaceful night. Playground nearby and an area with animals. Fountain and bins in the park. From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., maximum three hours. Bus 16 takes you to the center.
A great spot in the countryside near a park with various Swiss wildlife, a small pond, a children's playground, and a snack bar. A bus line 50 meters away takes you to central Lausanne in 15 minutes. You can leave the camper safely and free of charge with a parking disc for three hours. No unpleasant surprises, just pleasure and convenience—we love it.
Large enough to park a 5.40-meter truck. Quite noisy because the bus passes every 15 minutes, but there were no police checks. A small walk nearby in a pleasant park. The only available place around Lausanne, which bans trucks everywhere around Lake Geneva.
