17 Ferropolisstraße, 06773, Gräfenhainichen
Been here?
This is a level gravel parking area about 1km from Ferropolis, with access to the lake and views towards the site. Recent stays report a 20 Euro charge, although earlier information described it as free outside events. There are no sanitary facilities, waste bins or other services. It can be quiet, but nighttime disturbance from drifting vehicles has also occurred, and parking is unavailable during concerts and festivals.

We recommend driving on to Ferropolis if the campsite there is open. The parking area is an emergency solution and, in our opinion, the €20 is not justified. We cannot assess what the situation is like during events or when the site on the grounds is closed.
Parking situation: €20 for a simple gravel parking lot is already a steep price. Unfortunately, several troublemakers also came by during our night and misused the area for drifting practice. Sleeping was impossible until the police finally had to come. Conclusion: Five full stars for visiting the site and its industrial history. Camping directly on the grounds only from 2 April 2026.
Unfortunately, it is no longer free. You have to pay €20 at Ferropolis. We always liked coming here. This time we drove on. Considering that there is not even a rubbish bin, the price is outrageous!
Perfect. Quiet, level, gravelled. Free of charge.
Great place for one night, with access to the lake. No parking fee outside events, since the site does not belong to Ferropolis. There was no inspection either. One kilometer to the Ferropolis grounds, which are well worth seeing; there is a day parking area there.
Level gravel area, completely empty, and we had been there a long time with a view of the lake. On Saturday, some motorhome owners arrived and complained behind our backs instead of speaking to us; we could have moved. €20 for not even a rubbish bin is really too much, but there was no inspection and I do not want to know who did not pay. The walk to Ferropolis takes 15 minutes. Very quiet.
Somewhat neglected, possibly replacement, parking area, a good kilometer from Ferropolis. We spent a quiet night there. The next morning we drove the motorhome to Ferropolis, where you can park for free directly in front of the ticket office.
Level area about 20 minutes on foot from Ferropolis. There was no mention anywhere of parking fees (1 February 2025). Fortunately, the numerous lamps were not operating!
Paid from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. At the end of September, it is probably completely free. Great view of Ferropolis and access to the lake. Ideal for one night.
Rather expensive at €20, considering there were no sanitary facilities, lighting or rubbish bins. It is a simple gravel parking area. But the view of the water is definitely worth it in the morning! There were two other campers and a few anglers beside us. Definitely fine for one night if you are going to visit Ferropolis anyway.
