Been here?
Large, calm and shaded parking area, suitable for an overnight stay and close to the LIPU oasis. It is about 500 meters from the headquarters, with access by a bike path, and Lucca is 17 km away while Pisa is 25km away. There is no water or waste service. The access road is narrow for very large vehicles, and the nearby path along the shore is currently closed.

Large, quiet, shaded site alongside a small road that has some traffic but is quiet at night. Ideal for cycling to visit Lucca (17 km) and Pisa (25 km).
Quiet overnight pitch, ideal for exploring the bird sanctuary. The lakeside path that starts directly at the parking area and leads to the neighboring village, where the starting point of the wonderful wooden walkway over the water is located, is currently closed because it is dilapidated.
Wonderful and peaceful place just two steps from the oasis, reached in 10 minutes on foot via a path along the oases. Always open. Former sports fields. Plenty of space. Quiet at night too. For large campers (7 m), it is better to stop here rather than enter the village, whose roads are narrow.
Very quiet parking area with a lovely little path for walking. Easy access for small and medium-sized motorhomes. The access road is narrow for very large vehicles or buses.
Very quiet parking area where we spent one night! Next to it there is a sports facility, and a little farther on you can find the LIPU Chairone oasis, which can be visited on foot (dogs allowed) or by organized boat trips.
We heard three gunshots at about 8pm and then observed figures walking amongst the trees with torches. They came up to our van and shone a light inside (we were in the back, out of sight). They stayed for about an hour. We did not feel safe and so we left.
The place is superb, clean and pleasant among the olive trees. The pitches are level. There are a few mosquitoes, but we are in the middle of the marshes. Normally, parking on the grounds is forbidden except on the right, where the designated area is located. A large blue P sign indicates it. When we went there, a chain was blocking access. Be careful.
Very good place, with morning shade beside the olive trees, and quiet! There are some bins slightly hidden behind the building.
