Lahninsel 5, 35578, Wetzlar
Been here?
Small paid parking area for 4 motorhomes directly beside Wetzlar’s old town, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. The price is 8€ for 24 hours, including electricity and disposal, although fresh water is currently not working. The site is beside a busy road and parking area, so it can be noisy and crowded during the day but is generally quiet at night. Payment is by card or coins at the meter, which gives no change.

Good parking area a short walk from the center, a little noisy during the day but quiet at night. All services, including electricity, are included in the parking fee. We enjoyed our stay.
Four pitches in a longitudinal strip between a busy road and a heavily used parking lot. Direct access to the old town. Electricity included in the price. Disposal beside the toilet building, if it is not blocked. Toilet disposal is directly beside the grey-water disposal in the toilet building, through a separate door. Fresh water is also available there, though we did not use it.
Large parking lot on a main road. Toilet disposal and grey-water drainage are possible. Fresh water is currently not working. Close to the center.
Good starting point for exploring the old town, space for four motorhomes if parked sensibly, with electricity included in the €8 daily price. Road noise is within earshot; otherwise a nice parking area.
When we arrived, three motorhomes were already there, parked with so much space between them and not willing to move that there was no room left for us. We could not find the disposal facilities.
We stayed here for one night. We slept well and safely, as expected for a parking lot in the middle of a city. The €8 parking fee included electricity and service facilities. The location near the old town is excellent. We will definitely return!
Good place for strolling around the city. A little confusing—we arrived during a snowstorm. But despite everything, we are happy to come back. ChaseFehmarn
Good-value parking area: €8 for 24 hours, including electricity and disposal. It is important to bring very long cables because the electricity box is far away. We are happy to return.
A great place with electricity and service facilities for visiting the beautiful old town.
This is actually not a motorhome pitch but a parking lot. Three spaces are designated, and that is all. Do not be surprised if your motorhome gets scratched.
Loud, crowded, and tight. Good for quick disposal, though.
Great spot for exploring the old town of Weclar. We spent one night there and it was quiet. However, the parking lot is full. Large RVs park across the spaces, but in that case there is room for four campers. We are 5 meters long and parked diagonally, leaving more space for additional RVs.
Overall, I can confirm everything that has been said. The parking lot is very crowded, and the motorhome spaces are directly on the main road near the beautiful old town. We stood right by the entrance and exit of the lot, and it was really quiet. Also, thank you very much. €8 for 24 hours, including electricity and disposal. I can only recommend it.
The few spaces reserved for motorhomes are used by other vehicles, very busy car park and if you have a Motorhome over 6 metres forget it and drive on, don’t waste your time!
Excellent place and location, with shade, toilets, and electricity. Safe to leave the motorhome during the day and explore the center. Only €8 per vehicle, with just four spaces.
Free on May 1; until 11 a.m. on May 2 I paid only €1. Unfortunately, the women’s toilet cannot be locked. We stayed overnight in a car; with earplugs and a sleep mask it was quiet and dark enough. Tip for sleeping in a car: women can tie their hair in a braid and wash their head and hair under the toilet tap, at least when it is warm, as the water is cold. Note: the toilets have opening hours.
We did not have to pay anything on the May 1 public holiday. Good place with everything you could expect in the middle of a city. A week later, the city set up a separate parking area via EasyPark, so it is now always chargeable. One day costs €9.20 (€8 at the parking meter).
A huge, completely full car park with three or four spaces for motorhomes. Depending on how full it is and the size of the motorhome, maneuvering can be difficult. The disposal facilities are across the lot in a small stone building. There is also a fresh-water tap in the building. Sleeping? No.
Many thanks to the city. You can tell that they have thought about the needs of motorhome travelers. That does not happen often.
Great park up. Minutes from the town. Electric hookup provided too. All for €8. An absolute bargain. Room for 5 motorhomes parked sensibly but as per my photo, people think it's acceptable to take up 2 spaces. It's not. It's selfish and rude. This behaviour is why such places are disappearing
Nice place, close to the center.
Super-central motorhome area; the pedestrian zone is only a few minutes away. Impressive is the water feature in the Lahn visible from the site, which even bubbles illuminated in the evening. However, the site is genuinely full with four vehicles. Payment is possible in cash or via various apps.
Central site, excellent for visiting the old town. Overnight fee includes service facilities and public toilets. Payment is also possible via app.
You are fairly central here, close to the old town, at the edge of a large parking lot. It is obviously not really quiet, even at the end of November. The price, including electricity if you are lucky enough to be near the power post, and service facilities is inexpensive. Recommended for visiting historic Wetzlar.
Excellent stop (with ear plugs). Great location so close to the old town. Felt very safe, flat, free electricity (we had to try a couple of outlets as one want working but there are 8). We arrived 6pm Monday and it did not feel tight to park at all. Recommend Ratsschänke for food and beer. T info leaflet for old town walk. Full facilities for free at the toilet block which stayed open. Great!
Excellent location in the middle of the city, great for a day trip. The parking lot is very inexpensive, and there are four motorhome spaces, but unfortunately it is very noisy here. We drove on.
