Ski resort area, heated toilets

Quiet and with direct walking access to the center.

It’s ok, there are electric points for all and the dump station has been upgraded from the photo as is now a CCP area. Free shuttle buses in winter run between all the ski areas stop just outside Aire. Slight slope so chocks needed. Snow was cleared every day.

Pleasant Camping-Car Park area. Two clean, heated toilets. For us, the electricity was sufficient for supplementary heating during the night of 08/12/26. The only drawback is that the parking area is not cleared of snow.

Camping-Car Park area in the heart of Chamrousse 1650. 20 spacious spaces near a parking area and buildings. 6A connection, far too little for winter caravanning! Close to all shops and slopes. Very quiet at night, with very little traffic on the road. Beautiful valley view. Regular buses to Chamrousse 1750. Remember to book during the season; spaces are limited.

The major drawback is the electricity, which is very limited in amperage (6A). We had to turn on our gas heating in the evenings because the socket tripped when we ran our built-in electric heater at medium power. It only worked with the heater at 1800W, plus the fridge and one lamp. It's annoying to have to use gas given the price paid per night.

The area has become paid: €20 for 24 hours!? Some people like it, others less so. This rate must be added to the ski pass, making the resort less competitive. It's a shame there isn't another free parking area without services, especially for those who don't use them. Note that there is a building housing groups of young people who can be very noisy.

I stayed there for 6 days last week. The area is now managed by Camping-Car Park. 20 spaces, 5 pedestals with 4 sockets each. Snow clearing is handled by the municipality. The downside is the proximity of a holiday building where, during the first two nights, about thirty young people made a racket until 5 a.m. This is the only drawback, as the location is good. Two heated public toilets.

Area out of service. There is another operational one higher up in the resort. Large parking area. Close to shops. Very clean toilets on site. Beautiful view depending on where you park.

Flat asphalt parking area, but be aware that few services are available. No water or electricity. Cassette emptying is possible, but rinsing is not; use the gray water. Gray-water disposal is available. Very quiet. Few or no restaurants are open at this time of year.

Quiet pitch close to activities. We did not use the services, but we slept there.

Thanks to the resort for this large free parking area with gray-water and cassette disposal. It's a shame that the water and electricity do not work. There are two toilets with sinks. Close to all activities.

Very large, relatively flat area, with toilets accessible in the parking lot, including a sink. Thanks to the municipality for making this area free.

Like the other campers: large parking area. You need to be self-sufficient. Beautiful view, peaceful, and at the foot of the slopes.

Large parking area with plenty of spaces and the possibility of mountain views. When I went there in early July, the toilets were closed and water and electricity were unavailable. Emptying is still possible. There are recycling and compost bins in the parking area, though they are in poor condition. The tourist office and a few shops were open.

Nice area for the view and proximity to shops and hiking trailheads. Unfortunately, the service pedestal is out of order.

The electricity pedestal and water no longer work. Connection is possible at an electrical panel near the toilets. Water filling is not possible in Chamrousse; you have to go back down the pass.

Convenient area near the shops, with a very close stop for the free shuttles to the Recoin and Roche Bérangère resorts. However, there are many motorhomes— we arrived on December 30—relative to the number of sockets, with connections of varying security. We therefore preferred to remain self-sufficient in the parking area outside the official area, where it was quiet. Thank you to the municipality.

Great spot for skiing. The ground is relatively flat. Water and electricity hookups are available for €8 per 24 hours, payable only by bank card at the water terminal. Free bus shuttle stop right next to it. Ski slopes about 400 meters away. Two toilets, each with a sink, and heated as well. Thank you to the municipality.
