Grassington Road, BD23 3LA, Craven
Been here?
A large, fairly level overnight parking area at the Craven Heifer, now charging £12 per night. The pub is open with a comfortable bar, coffee and brunch, although food was unavailable on one recent evening. The site is usually quiet and offers countryside views. Skipton is reachable by a downhill walk through the memorial garden, golf course and woodland.

Stayed there in July, arrived at around 7Pm. It's £12 a night. No food in the bar that night but drinks were well received! Comfortable bar. Walk downhill into Skipton via country path and pavements. 2 other motorhomes in the car park. Enjoyed very quiet night and a nice cappuccino in the bar in the morning.
Stayed last night (Sat 25th April). it was a last minute phone call to the pub as I had run out of daylight to get to my original planned stop. Rang at 8.30pm and arrived around 9pm. very Accommodating and really friendly staff. two other vans in carpark overnight. Very large flat carpark. Great night's sleep. And they open a café in the pub at 10am for breakfasts
Very accommodating, cheap place to stay with brill access into Skipton town. We have stayed the night and got a taxi into Skipton (£4) for a few drinks and some food. Bar is well stocked, carpark is massive and quite level. Small ramps may be needed. You shouldn’t have an issue finding a spot here. Cant complain for £12 a night this close to town. No facilities when the pub is closed however.
Price is now £12 per night. Beautiful views of the countryside and a garden centre. Lovely cosy quiet pub in the morning with good coffee and brunch choices
Pub now open again campervans welcome for £10 a night. We stayed over lovely people unfortunately kitchen is not running yet but should be in a couple of weeks. Although they are doing light bites panninis/ sandwiches . Will definatley be coming again especially to try the food.
I stopped here while waiting for a space to be available for an overnight in Skipton. What a lovely place to stop. The old pub is a Garden Centre with a Cafe on site. Some places are parking for the Memorial Garden, but even without them there is a lot space. Nobody approached us re payment during the day, but I’m sure they would if you tried to stay overnight.
Now a Garden centre/cafe. I was told there happy to have campers overnight. Can use garden centre toilets when they are open
pub closed and boarded up. we parked and walked a beautiful walk into Skipton town center. I would stay there again.
The place is now completely boarded up.Translating
Currently closed, with no sign of reopening at the moment.Translating
Unfortunately the Craven Heifer closed it's doors earlier in the summer. Great parking with super views for an overnight stay but no food or drinks available for the foreseeable future.
Lovely place, great food and service but…..£20 to park up for the night with no utilities? A bit much. Nice though.
Fantastic pub stopover. Just spent Saturday night there, no charge. Had a few drinks in the sun trap outside, then easy walk into Skipton for the night. Lots of other vans there, so relaxed, everyone friendly. Had a great breakfast on Sunday for £12.50. Great staff. What more do you need? Building a bit tired but hopefully will change in the future.
Would only let us stay if we paid for a full evening meal (already eaten). Uninterested in the fact we were happy to spend the evening in there drinking. Been guests in the hotel several times and will not be returning now, Travelodge down the road. We wanted a regular Wednesday night camping spot for winter and the pub will lose a lot of business from us. Pub empty with only 2 cars parked up
Would only let us stay if we had an evening meal. We were meeting friends elsewhere so offered instead to pre pay for breakfast but they weren't interested.
