Shepherds Rest Pub, Camping & Caravan Park

Lovely chilled stop over . Nice welcome in the pub next door . I did get a phone signal but it occasionally went off . Showers hot & clean . Lovely .

My experience was 1* and that star was for the quick shower. Turns out this is also a wedding venue, and unknown to me there was a large wedding party just revving up. I think this would be a great wee campsite at other times, but do check theres no weddings happening before you book!! I moved on, and stayed at Drum Manor, which had a more chilled out energy.

Great spot. Good facilities and lovely pub. Definitely recommend. Be aware you won't get a mobile signal in the area or if you do it's very weak. Good overnight getaway spot

Sorry, Sligojeff, can't subscribe to your way of thinking. A welcoming country pub, with a cosy fire, no phone coverage and nothing to do? Perfect! (ps - I've been there loads of times and there's been no hospital bed or Travellers.)

We were given a very friendly welcome by the owner, and otherwise the site offers everything you need. Water and waste services are available. Grey water can be emptied through a large ground drain. Free showers and toilets, very clean. Table tennis, billiards, and table football are available in a large hall. The adjoining pub is very nice, with live music during our visit. We slept very peacefully.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bar has friendly staff, an open fire and allows dogs. £25 for the night with EHU and water tap on the pitch. Facilities clean. We previously camped over summer when there's live music and the bar is popular with locals. No network coverage.

Learned a lesson about not going anywhere with no reviews! Dreadful. Paid up front but drove straight out again. Travellers in the bar. Very strange games room with a hospital bed in? No WiFi or phone signal. Absolute middle of nowhere, with nothing to do...on a busy road so walking not even an option! Not very often you go wrong on park for a night but this was all kinds of wrong
