Unnamed Road, 6871, Jostedal
Been here?
A large, peaceful natural spot with room for more than 5 campers and impressive mountain and glacier views. A trail to Fäbergstolsbreen begins 200m back along the road, while the Styggevatn glacier lake dam is 12 km away. The site is beside the road but sees very little night traffic, and campfires are possible. There is no mobile network.

We were here in July 2026! The place is, as already described, especially suitable for motorhomes. Peace, hiking, campfires… everything is possible. 200 m back along the road begins a fantastic trail to Fabergstølsbreen. If you want to enjoy nature, you need at least 5 hours there and back. The trail is often blocked by mudslides. More information at: yukon98@gmx.de
Great place, right in the middle of nature, but unfortunately there are no hiking paths anywhere.
Perfectly peaceful. A hike to the glacier starts here. Great. No phone signal.
Impressive panorama! Certainly beside the road, but almost no cars during the night. Campfires are possible. The ground stays dry even when it rains.
Beautiful place surrounded by nature. Several glaciers can be visited from here.
Fantastic place in the middle of nature. Great views of the mountains and an excellent starting point for visiting the glacier. There is room for everyone on the large area. There is no mobile reception! On the way there is an unlit tunnel, so do not be intimidated by it.
A very pleasant surprise: lots of space in the open countryside! The approach is unusual but problem-free; it is worth it. After our hike to the very popular Nigardsbreen, it was very relaxing for those seeking peace and quiet.
Beautiful surroundings. Many hiking opportunities. Large area with some level pitches. It is also worth driving to the glacier lake just to see it. From the tunnel onward there is absolutely no mobile reception. The access road is easy enough.
Great Parking spot stayed here after we were told no a recommend this spot! 5/5 spot Secluded and peaceful (atleast i end of the summer) Definitely go here nice and relaxed.
Secluded and without phone service, easy to access and with plenty of spaces, but so peaceful! We were alone in the world! With a view of the glacier. Sun in the evening for dinner. Access to the river is a 5-minute walk away, but it is far too cold for swimming.
