Am Sonnenhang 2, 82467, Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Been here?
This daytime parking area is open from 06:00 to 24:00 and offers mountain views from the nearby fields. It is quiet and close to a nature reserve, but the spaces are small, sloped, and mainly suitable for smaller vehicles. Walkers and joggers use the area, while passing cars can continue until 23:00. Only about one of five or six spaces is reasonably level.

Good for small cars, but not really for campers: small space and downhill. Better to park near Garmisch railway station for campers.Translating
We only parked here and cycled to Lake Eibsee. It was too sloped and cramped for us to sleep.Translating
We normally have no problems with places that are somewhat sloped. However, this place was too steep even for us, and the only level spot was already occupied. We don't have leveling ramps, although they would not have helped much in this case either.Translating
Actually a wonderfully beautiful little place, but only one of the approximately five or six parking spaces is reasonably level and comfortable. If you're lucky enough to get that one, you'll have a great time.Translating
Very quiet place with a beautiful view. The only downside is passing cars until 11 p.m.Translating
Nice place on the outskirts of town, next to a nature reserve and close to houses. Avoid it if there are too many vehicles, as the area is sloped. A quiet night.Translating
Unfortunately, the place is somewhat sloped, so it is difficult to stand level, but otherwise it is very good. Great view of the mountains and adjacent to a pasture. Some immediate neighbors even came by, and we had a nice chat; nobody minded that we were parked here. The parking area is genuinely recommended!Translating
