Quiet fjord parking, barrier ahead

Fantastic free overnight spot with stunning views over the fjord and surrounding mountains. Very quiet thanks to the old E6 being a dead-end, although a few anglers and the occasional ferry pass by. Plenty of space, easy access from the western road. We saw some seals and puffins during the day. Highly recommended for a peaceful night.

A gravel parking area with an incredibly beautiful view of the fjord and mountains. The few anglers and regular ferries are not disruptive. Extremely quiet at night because nobody uses the old E6 for through traffic.

Unserviced and accessible parking area. In summer, the road is not blocked and can be continued to Lokvollen when heading north. Very active spot for fishermen, including locals. Table available. Very little traffic on the old E6, so it is quiet at night. The highlight was seeing a fin whale pass through the fjord several times!

Two boulders lie in the road 300 metres before the site.

Very beautiful, quiet place. Be careful: the road is closed by a metal barrier just after the parking area.

Actually a nice place, but overcrowded with anglers. Quads and cars sometimes drive past at quite high speed. There is some space to sit in front of or beside the camper. You would not want to stay there for more than a few hours. Plus point: you can see the midnight sun over the fjord. The steep drop beside the road is very dangerous and is no longer properly secured.

Access from the east side is via the narrow road in the village. It eventually leads back onto the old E6. The car park offers a great view of the water and mountains.

Quiet place with a very beautiful view. There are several lay-bys along the road and a larger area at the end. Anglers are also present. Bins available. Few mosquitoes.

Magnificent place! I think we stopped before the site, on the right, in a small parking area, away from the ferry. Very quiet and a splendid place! We were even able to fish!

Nice place, almost no traffic on this bypassed road. Enjoyed lapping waves coming in from the sea A popular place to park. It was busy & the road barrier by the landslide is now open, so I used nice side-on parking for two vehicles, 50mtrs past the barrier. The local ferries still retain noisy deisels & pass close to this promontory, so if you don't know what the noise is, it can be disturbing

Superb! The road is blocked by a landslide just before a platform with a table and fire pit. Spacious parking area facing the fjord, with full midnight sun, and a fishing spot for pollock. Be careful: it is a small cliff, with slippery rocks when wet. A very discreet electric ferry passes regularly in both directions. Everything is beautiful and completely quiet; we were alone.

Very good, quiet, level place directly before the road closure, with a dreamlike view of the fjord. Compared with the other car parks along this road, we had sun in the morning and evening. It is therefore worth heading for the rearmost spot.

Beautiful car park at the end of the road. Lovely 180-degree view over the fjord and a good place to watch the northern lights. From 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., a ferry passes regularly, but it is not loud. During our stay, locals came by twice early in the morning but turned around immediately.

We were the only car parked overnight here at the beginning of February. The road is cleared only as far as the barrier, so nobody could drive through. The view in the morning was absolutely fantastic. We even saw a whale briefly. Be careful: as another user has already written, the car park is accessible only via the road from the west.

The barrier is open, so cars drive through here. Fine for a short break, but that is all.
