Kaunas Lake camping

The area is packed full of travelers; we had motorhomes one meter away beside us and half a meter behind us. The toilets were untidy; paper must be put in the bin to prevent the drain from clogging. The container toilets had no hand soap or paper/hand dryer. Very heavy traffic noise all the time, and in the late evening it felt as if we were next to a Formula racing track. The only stars are for the wonderful beach.

We stayed there for one night. The road noise did not bother us. The sanitary facilities were perfectly fine. By bicycle, it took 30 minutes to reach the city center. We would gladly return. Two adults without a dog.

An okay place for one or two nights. Wi-Fi works, and the beach is nearby. Lidl and Maxima are nearby. There is only one washing-up sink, so it can get crowded.

You are essentially parked at the racetrack in the pit lane. Something between F1, DTM, and MotoGP. The site itself is okay. We paid €94 for two adults and two children aged 10 and 12 for two nights, July 13–15. A gravel lake is right outside and invites you to swim, with food and drink available by the lake. Sanitary facilities are available and functional, but the containers have no soap or way to dry your hands.

Way too expensive!!! The staff was super nice. The place not. It’s a government ruled place. But the facilities are terrible.

The sanitary facilities have been expanded with containers. There is only one sink for washing dishes. It is very noisy because of the road, but the lake is beautiful. The city can easily be explored from here; the bus stop is not far away and costs only €1.50.

Yes, there is a busy street nearby so that means a constant level of noise during the day. Otherwise, the campsite has a wonderful location next to the lake and the beach is just below. The price of 33€ for a van and two adults is absolutely too much, considering the level of cleanliness of the toilets and showers. It serves as an overnight spot so arriving late might mean there's no free space.

Basic services are available and worked well for us. The showers and toilets were quite good and clean, even with many guests over the weekend. Friendly, helpful service—we immediately received help from reception with our problem. The beach restaurant served tasty charcoal-grilled burgers. Some of the grass areas are uneven.

A completely overwhelmed young man tries to assign pitches without any consideration for vehicle height or other factors. When leaving the next morning, he could not find my car anywhere in his records. The older showers are mold-breeding facilities.

By the lake and close to the highway. it's a little bit small and there were many campers. The amenities are very good and clean but there are no hangers in the showers.

Good campsite near the city; public transport is just a short walk away. The only drawback is the container bathrooms. Easy access for filling and emptying. With a 6-meter van, electricity, and one person, I paid €22 per night.

Very beautiful location directly on the lake. Great internet connection. Sanitary facilities are so-so. Directly beside the expressway, so somewhat noisy, but a good base for visiting Kaunas.

That's a total rip-off! 12 € just to flush the toilet! A nice young man at the front desk explained to me that the bureau wants to push people into campgrounds so they won't be wandering around out in nature. Well, we’re out of here!

Rude personal, dirty toilets,no soap for washing hands and no toilet paper most of the time. Showers with hot water but the drains are blocked.

A top spot, great location by the water with a swimming beach, and a bus stop in front of the campsite for traveling into the city (routes 7 and 11). Price: €44 for one person with a camper and electricity for two nights. Sanitary facilities are clean and okay. Unfortunately, the main road beside it is clearly audible.

There is only one star because you have to give one! I have never seen such a dirty, overcrowded site. The electrical hookups, where they exist at all, are overloaded and shared multiple times. All the showers, male and female, every stall, are full of sand, and the water does not drain at all. Nobody is around to take care of it. Rock-bottom quality, but unfortunately there is no alternative in Kaunas.

Good campsite with all basic services. Ok sanitary facilities, laundry machine needs repairing. The only downside is the noisy road, but great location for visiting Kaunas. Kaunas old city is worth of seeing. Bus stop right outside the campsite and small shop also very near. Swimming beach beside and beach bar also in summertime. Price for camper+2adults and dog was 31,5€/night.

A clean place with a really great location, though there is some road noise. Otherwise everything was good; we stayed one day with the family and recommend it. The toilets, showers, and kitchen were all good.

Well-located campsite for visiting Kaunas, with complete infrastructure. Some areas are problematic for large and especially tall motorhomes. After prolonged rain, some areas become muddy; otherwise it is clean. We did not notice the road noise as much as other reviewers mentioned.

Place is easy to access and pricing was reasonable. Toilet maintenance was lacking (no hand towels at all and toilet papers in few loos were out). Nice kitchen though. A little wilder side what comes to camping on that area. We parked next to other camper 4 meters apart and when we were away some jerk parked his van between us (and there was space elsewhere). So guidance could be better.

Very nice site with everything nearby, whether shopping, a restaurant, or a bar. It is best to walk along the beach at sunset. The only criticism is the musty showers in the main building, although there are two additional showers in the containers.

There is no fixed parking arrangement; everyone parks haphazardly. Most spaces are difficult for tall vehicles to access because of low-hanging branches. The road is clearly audible.

Everything is fine. Showers and toilets are clean. If you want to see the city, it is perfectly adequate. The noise level is okay. We are parked quite far back.

If you want to stay overnight in Kaunas, it is hard to avoid this campsite. Good connection to the city, friendly reception, free choice of pitch, and good, clean sanitary facilities await travelers. The disturbance from the nearby roads cannot be denied, but we still slept well on one of the spots farther back.

Beautiful campsite with very clean sanitary facilities. €30, everything included. The service station for filling and emptying is exemplary. You can choose your spot freely, and the road noise did not bother us. We were away during the day and there was hardly any traffic at night. Very good bus connection, as well as an excellent cycle path. Recommended for a larger city like Kaunas.

Very good place near the city and by the lake.Cyckling route to the old town and castle, walking tours around the lake. All caravan facilities available. Very friendly staff. Of course there is trafic noise because the place is in city, but it didn’t bother us.

We stayed here again because the place is open, and an overnight stay for a motorhome with two people, a dog, and electricity now costs €28. Good reception, English works well, and the site's own internet works excellently. Come here; it is a good place to be. At the moment there is only one German camper besides us, so the sanitary facilities are spacious. The view of the sun setting over the river will stay in our memory.

The site itself is okay. Good filling and emptying facilities, but the area is surrounded on two sides by—I counted—10 lanes in total, essentially a motorway. Noise around the clock, as if parked on the shoulder of an eight-lane motorway. A shame. No recommendation whatsoever because of this unbelievable noise.

We spent the night here for the first time in a long while. The price was €31, including the vehicle, dog, two human attendants, and electricity. A proper pizzeria next door is a plus. The price is high because the place has only a couple of toilets and one shower. Harmony Park is a few dozen kilometers away and offers comprehensive services for €15 per night. In addition, the traffic noise from the big city here is extremely disturbing, day or night.

Basically okay, pleasant location, central, and fairly clean. However, the clearly audible road noise late into the night is bothersome. Wi-Fi works optimally only in the front area. The kitchen is very well equipped, but can only be used between 8:30 a.m. and 8:40 p.m.; after that, washing dishes is also impossible.

Beautiful site directly outside Kaunas. Sanitary facilities clean and okay. The beach with its beach bar is very nice. We were satisfied. Deduction only for the road noise.
