Been here?
A daytime car park beside the river with views of Malmesbury Abbey and a short walk into the town. The first two hours are free, but overnight parking is no longer allowed according to Wiltshire Council. The area has fairly level spaces, a riverside setting and nearby public toilets in town.

Lovely and well-located parking area. Free for up to two hours, perfect for visiting the town. Thanks for the recommendation!
Great for daytime but no overnight signs now showing . queried with Wiltshire council and told none of their car parks now allow overnight parking
Lovely quiet stay—fairly flat spaces.
Nice quiet spot - lit path up the side of the Abbey to a good choice of shops pubs and restaurants. only thing to add to previous posts is that we thoroughly recommend breakfast at Michael’s on the Triangle - Out of the car park and up the hill - there are 2 hour free parking spaces opposite.
Good parking spot. You have to pay through an app or ring them up. But the process is very easy. The town is quite small but very beautiful and the parking spot is right across an Abbey so you’ll have a wonderful view. Public toilets are about 5 mins away. For food we’d recommend the bird cage (pizza/italian)
Lovely place for a stopover, very quiet and not a soul in site. Lovely walk up to the Abbey, would definitely recommend the Bird Cage in town for pizza.
Used only to visit the town; a very beautiful walk along the stream. Pleasant visit.
it's ok. it's a car park. not a lot happening in Malmesbury to be honest. best thing was the pub. cant pay with cash have to go through the app or ring them. probably quiet at night. not a place I'd go again.
Lovely place to park and visit the quiet town with its beautiful Abbey. The first two hours of parking are free. We slept there without any problems and for free. There was some noise in the parking area in the evening. We visited the Abbey in the morning and received a very warm welcome from all the volunteers and villagers. The cakes at the bakery by the Abbey are delicious. Good 4G internet.
A great place to stopover for one night as we did. A cute little town to explore if you fancy and the parking is right on the river where there’s picnic benches. We stayed one night on a Saturday night, the car park was fairly busy with locals leaving their cars here while they went up to the pubs. Quite a lot of cars were left overnight so we felt pretty comfortable staying here as we ‘blended in’ almost. No disturbances throughout the night. Bins nearby.
Great spot. Quiet, near the water and with plenty of space to sit by the river. No amenities.
Super idylic spot in a lovely village. Public toilets in town open at 9. Nice views and peaceful night. Free 6pm-8am. Picked some litter around the benches - leave no trace and make the place better!
