Been here?
A spacious, peaceful meadow surrounded by nature, about 3 minutes from the natural beach. It offers garbage bins and a few seats, but no services, so you must be self-sufficient. Payment is made through an honesty box, with recent comments mentioning 11 Eu or 12 Euro and 120 SEK. The place is excellent for cycling, walking and complete quiet.

What a treat, passing all those overcrowded campsites and motorhome areas on the way to arrive at this island of nature and quiet. Beautiful cycling routes around.
We stood on the meadow almost completely alone. Total nature, absolutely quiet, plenty of space. An honesty box is available. Great starting point for cycling trips.
This is what camping in nature should be like... we enjoyed it.
A wonderful pitch in the middle of nature. Highly recommended if you want to unwind and switch off. You can quickly reach the water, with wonderful sunsets included. Payment in cash in an envelope, available on site.
If you can travel self-sufficiently, this is definitely one of my favourites! Beautiful, secluded, peaceful place! Very tidy and well maintained. A place to completely switch off. You cannot hear even the road or its traffic. Anyone wanting to truly switch off and enjoy nature in northern Öland is in the right place here!
When it is difficult to camp freely on Öland and the campsites are overcrowded and too expensive, this is a great alternative if you can stay self-sufficiently for one or two days. For €11 the place is great, and if you have bicycles there is a wonderful cycle path nearby!
A lovely pitch; we can only recommend it. The sign showing the pitches should be larger and clearer. Some people left without realizing that you can also drive past the sign on the left. Further back there is a large meadow, with more niches on both sides. Thank you for this wonderful place near the sea!
Great pitch in nature, absolutely uncomplicated.
FANTASTIC. No services, that’s for sure... but once you are there, it becomes a detail! In the middle of nature, close to the sea and the cycle path... everything is there! If you have to choose, don’t hesitate: take care of your services and go! Thank you to the municipalities for allowing this kind of welcome!
Two days in niche 8 felt almost like camping freely. You need to be self-sufficient here and not afraid of gravel or roots. In the evening we heard a tawny owl and cranes. The cycle path starts right outside the door and leads to the lighthouse, about 4 km away.
Quiet and spacious pitch. Great if one of the natural niches is still available. Put €12 or 120 SEK in an envelope in the honesty box. It was also checked in the evening. A few minutes’ walk to the sea. Absolute silence at night, with the sound of the sea. Waste disposal is possible.
Fantastic find. So quiet and peaceful. Great cycling from path opposite to lighthouse and Trollskogen or harbour in other direction. Payment via honesty box at entrance 120SEK. No facilities so come prepared.
A very, very beautiful natural site, and only €12, where you are genuinely allowed to stay officially. Cross the road and you are at a beautiful natural beach. Fortunately, there is no restaurant or entertainment nearby. Just nature and peace to enjoy. This is camping! Thanks for this great place; please keep it up! :-)
A great place with large pitches. You should be self-sufficient, as there are only rubbish bins—no water, wastewater disposal or electricity. The sea is a five-minute walk away. The place was very quiet and costs €12 per night.
Simple but very quiet pitch, partly divided into individual spaces. It still costs €12, paid into the letterbox. Short walk to the sea. In April it can hardly be more secluded. Recommended.
Super nice, secluded and peaceful—we can only recommend it!
Simple and pleasant. There are several somewhat secluded spots if you wish. You have to pay either €12 in cash (or 120 kronor in cash), or make a Swish transfer (note that you need a Swedish ID card for this; bring cash if you are a foreigner). Just a few steps from magnificent sunsets.
Pure nature, parking in designated areas. Anyone seeking peace will find it here. We were there at the beginning of September, with four vehicles on the site. Highly recommended.
Lovely peaceful place. Lots of flies at first, but they then disappear. You can watch bats at night. Very idyllic. Natural beach nearby.
Simply beautiful if you want to stay self-sufficiently. You can explore the area by bicycle. Very quiet at night.
Beautiful, quiet pitch; according to the sign, payment can also be made in euros. Much more appealing than the large gravel car parks nearby.
Tidy, but you can also stay at an unoccupied pitch without paying and have significantly more nature around you. Nothing else is offered here for the money. We decided to move on.
Offers no services whatsoever, which is not promised either! Under those conditions, it could hardly be better. Quiet and peaceful area with a short walk down to the water, with a rocky/pebbly beach. Excellent cycling opportunities on a separate cycle/pedestrian path parallel to the road. Somewhat cramped between the pitches in the meadow at the back, hence one star deducted from our rating.
Beautiful pitch; individual bays with natural separation and a larger meadow. When fully occupied, the meadow is already very cramped, with little space between neighbours. Walking distance to the rocky beach.
Really great pitch, incredibly quiet, and it manages itself, meaning everyone is considerate of one another. Only for completely self-sufficient vehicles—no water, electricity, shower or toilet. Rubbish bins overflowing, but still five stars.
The most beautiful place on the island! Rubbish bins relatively full, but everyone can take their rubbish away. No emptying or filling facilities.
Really plenty of space. Quiet location. Good starting point for cycling tours.
Excellent place; we stayed for one night. As the island is already quite busy, we had little hope of finding a spot in one of the small bays. In fact, several were still free. Only suitable for truly self-sufficient vehicles!
Beautiful pitch, especially spaces 1–5, which are separated from neighbouring pitches on both sides by bushes. No services available, but still beautiful and peaceful.
It is actually a car park. The price has been adjusted to 120 SEK. No facilities—not even an outdoor toilet.
Super peaceful place in nature. Simply brilliant. Payment in an envelope: either 100 SEK or €12. The beach is 300 metres across the road.
