Rruga Medi Bisha, Memaliaj
Been here?
A free, spacious riverside stopping place on grassy ground, surrounded by grazing animals and a quiet rural setting. The restaurant operators are welcoming and serve food, while toilets are available and other services are charged separately. Access can be confusing, gravelly, and steep, especially for front-wheel-drive vehicles. Shops are a short walk away, and the river can be used for swimming.

Beautiful pitch. The access was too gravelly and steep for us with our front-wheel-drive vehicle. We drove to the next meadow downstream. The entrance and exit there are significantly flatter.
Great place, suitable for more than one night. Directly by the river. The owner is very nice and the food in the restaurant is delicious.
Unfortunately, we have to give a bad review. The spot on the meadow by the river is beautiful and quiet. But after being told in the evening that we could use the toilet and shower, we were suddenly told in the morning that it cost €5. And breakfast in the restaurant—no fresh bread, only instant coffee, unripe fruit—cost 2,000 lek. We certainly will not come back.
The introduction already sounds very euphoric about a diversity of languages that does not exist, but you can manage. The pitch is nice; this was our second visit, with plenty of space, everything as already described, and normally we also go to the restaurant as we did in 2025. Our neighbor came to us beforehand and said: the buttermilk and salad were okay, but everything else was not. So we used the camper kitchen…
A super beautiful free pitch on a green meadow between grazing cows and sheep, directly on the riverbank. A very warm welcome from the restaurant owner. Absolutely recommended.
Valentina is such a lovely lady can only recommend to stop here even if it’s for a coffee. We ended up staying 2 nights because it’s so peaceful, quiet and welcoming here. Located right by the river, surrounded by goats, sheep, cows and horses. Friendly stray dogs pass by. Showers & toilets available. It’s a must stop for anyone :)
The host was very nice. Due to heavy rain, we stayed directly in front of the restaurant/café.
Free spot on sandy grass, access is a bit confusing but it is there! Lady who runs the cafe lets you stay for free and use the toilets, everything else is charged, but that is fair. 100 Lek for coffee. She said we could stay as long as we want! No pressure to leave
A really great and quiet place, and the food in the restaurant is delicious too. We would come back anytime!
We recommend it! The land is clearly public, which is why it is free, and the services are provided by the restaurant. Prices match what is advertised. We recommend the restaurant; we ate there twice. The €15 burek fed two adults and two children. We also tried the €30 lamb and four of us ate it.
Pitch fee??? We think it is great when wonderful people make their land available! In return, you should eat and/or drink something. Not every camper needs services and is happy to find such lovely places. Five out of five stars!
Lovely place, lovely owners and beautiful location. The toilet and water is free. Parking is free. The services are priced individually. The town has little shops and supermarkets within walking distance. Easy to access. Buy a burek - they are homemade and delicious it’s €15 and meant to feed your family as it’s a huge portion.
One of the most beautiful pitches we have had! You can stay for free directly by the Vjosa and use the sanitary facilities of the neighboring restaurant.
Free pitch. Simple but pleasant bar where you can eat and drink. Directly by the river, which is rather muddy. Toilet and shower available, but without soap or toilet paper. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired.
Very friendly welcome. Free if you are self-sufficient; services are paid. Easy access. Restaurant on site serving local dishes. Thank you for your welcome.
We spent a very quiet night. The sanitary facilities can be used through the bar. The shower price is a bit steep. There were cow pats in some places on the meadow. The river is very beautiful.
The place is, as already described, idyllically located, and the river is wonderful for swimming. What we do not like is the pricing of the services: €3 for a shower, €5 for the washing machine, and €5 for electricity. €10 (!) for emptying the black-water tank. It would be better to charge a pitch fee and make the services cheaper! It seems greedy this way. The toilet is closed from night until morning.
Everything what you already read is true. We really recommend this place. It’s peaceful, near the beautiful water, with really nice owner. There are tables and chairs from palettes, sunbeds, you can make a fire in “metal thalweg”. Don’t miss this please!
Beautiful place in the middle of nature with a wonderful river. We ate at the restaurant opposite. The food was delicious and freshly prepared—very Albanian and authentic! The owner is really very nice.
Lovely free and level place with a sink, toilet, and Wi-Fi! Pleasant welcome and delicious food! Thank you!
We spent two nights here and felt very comfortable. We had traditional lamb with potatoes, specially prepared in a large pan over the fire, and it was delicious. I cannot remember when I last ate such good and flavorful potatoes.
The place itself is beautifully situated. Neither the cow nor any other animals bothered us, but the negative points concern the food. Unfortunately, there was no sign of delicious Albanian cuisine. Carelessly slapped onto the plate, cold, and completely tasteless. A shame, because we had been looking forward to it so much.
Great place, delicious food, farm, and campfire. Perfect.
Great setting and a wonderful welcome. Very large area and facilities available along the river. Unfortunately for us, it rained throughout the late afternoon after we arrived.
Great spot, right in nature on the outskirts of the small town. We share the field with the cows, and goats pass by morning and evening. Parking is free, with no obligation to eat at the gentleman's restaurant. We went there and paid €44 for four people. The gentleman is friendly and available to help. I highly recommend it.
The site is beautifully and idyllically located on the banks of the Vjosa and is free. There is a bathroom with a toilet, shower, and washing machine. A fee would have been perfectly reasonable, but instead guests are expected to eat at the restaurant. The prices here were far too high by Albanian standards. A plate of lamb costs €30, so it is advisable to look at the menu before ordering.
A wonderful open, bright site on the banks of the Vjosa. Very nice owner. A “bathroom” with toilet, shower, and washing machine. Animals everywhere. Chickens beg in the restaurant, a cow is tethered to graze behind the motorhome, a herd of goats and a group of riders passed through in the evening, and huge fireflies appeared at night. The food was good: €29 for two people including beer.
we are here right now. This is an awesome place with great hosts. Both scenery and restaurants are first class. don't be put off by the stoney road. We are 8m long and made it easy.
The site is great, the people are friendly, and the food is simple but good. We had a wonderful evening there.
