Been here?
A level gravel parking area behind a bus stop offers plenty of space and no prohibition signs. Across the road are a small water source and picnic tables, while the nearby stream can be quite loud. Overnight stops are generally peaceful, although buses operate in the morning and the access road may be icy and untreated in winter.

It is quite cold here now. The parking lot and the side road leading to it have not been gritted, and there was a lot of ice. Great for sledding, not for campers! We drove on.
It is almost Christmas and we spent the night here. There is a little snow and it is freezing, but it is a fantastic place to sleep. In the morning, buses leave from here; that is the only thing you hear. Otherwise, it is a pleasant place to stay.
Great quiet spot for an overnight stop. We arrived late at night and left about 9:00am. One other camper already there when we arrived. Nice surroundings and a peaceful nights sleep.
We arrived around 9 p.m. There were many other cars and caravans in the parking lot, with everyone sitting outside and cooking, so it felt completely fine. The night was quiet and we slept wonderfully. Across the road there is water for brushing your teeth or washing dishes—excellent! No problems at all; we left around 9:30 a.m. Recommended.
We stayed here for one night and sat on the bench opposite in the evening. The locals greeted us kindly.
A great place to relax a very quiet spot. You can park right next to the stream, and there’s little traffic with plenty of space around. The only thing to note is that the stream is quite loud, which might bother some people though that’s a matter of personal preference!
We spent one night here alone. You can hear the stream rushing and otherwise nothing. Hardly any traffic at night. Great as a stopover!
We arrived late and left at 8 a.m. toward Weissensee. Good for one night without needing any services. We had no problems and were the only ones there. It is best to park in the narrower area or along the stream, as the bus turns around here. The season at Weissensee does not start until May; free camping is not possible there at all.
A gravel area next to the road. Suitable for all types of vehicles. Plenty of space. Pleasant surroundings. The road is not disruptive at all. Good for an overnight stay.
I am glad this place exists. Drinking water is available across the road. Across the stream, there is an opportunity to walk the dog in the forest. It is not perfect, but there are few alternatives here.
Nice parking near a river. The picture gives the impression of a large space, it is smaller than that. Yet, we spent two nights there, you can hear the road but it gets rather quiet at night and you sleep with the nice sound of the river. There's a wooden bench and water across the street which is very pleasant!
