Ancette, 43500, Saint-Julien-d'Ance
Been here?
Small free parking in a calm, bucolic riverside setting beside the Ance, with toilets, a small sink, clean water, rubbish bins and several picnic tables. The site also has a footbridge, river bathing and a mill at the end of the road. Access should be via the départementale, not the poor 1.8 km gravel track suggested by Google Maps; the descent is steep, and vehicles over 7m00 are discouraged.

Very picturesque, on the banks of the Ance. Turkish-style toilets with a small sink. Five picnic tables, two of them well shaded, and bins. Be careful: Google Maps sent me down a very poor 1.8 km stony track to the site. Do not take it; arrive via the main departmental road through St Julien d’Ance. Free 4G works. Thank you to the municipality.
Picturesque countryside spot. Park in the field; access is down before the bridge. You can get back up with a van! Toilet available, with a donation box for the municipality. Thank you.
Very quiet and well-maintained place, waking to birdsong in the morning. Lovely river with a footbridge. Best of all: clean toilets and a water point. We will come back! Several picnic tables.
Great, peaceful and pleasant location.
It’s fabulous, truly magnificent.
